Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hadirnya era soft power pada abad 21 dimana musik Sunda dengan segala keindahannya dan metode vokalisasi yang unik, serta teknik bernyanyi yang tidak sederhana, menjadikan musik Sunda berpotensi untuk populer dan diakui oleh dunia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat gaya vokal Rita Tila dalam membawakan lagu-lagu pop Sunda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian ini memaparkan tentang: Pertama, gaya garap vokal Rita Tila dalam Pop Sunda yang dapat dilihat dari strukturl agu, laras, bentuk lagu, teknik vokal, dan musik pengiring Rita Tila yang memiliki gaya tersendiri apabila dibandingkan dengan penyaji atau vokalis lain. Kedua, implementasi vokal Rita Tila pada Pop Sunda, yang menggunakan ornamentasi tembang, pesindenan dan kawih yang membuat identitas kultur Sunda semakin nampak.Adapun pada lagu versi Pop Sunda, teknik yang digunakan Rita Tila tidak terlalu kompleks. Ketiga, ciri khas Rita Tila dalam pembawaan vokal Pop Sunda, yang tidak menghilangkan unsur-unsur karawitan sekar dalam membawakan lagu Pop Sunda, halini terlihat dari teknik dan ornamentasi yang bersumber dari tradisi karawitan Sunda. .... This research is grounded by the presence of soft power era in the 21st century which is all its beauty and unique vocalization methods, as well as the technique of singing is not simple, which makesSundanese music has the potential to become popular and recognized by the world.. This study aims to see the vocal style of Rita Tila in singingSundanese pop songs. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. Technique of collecting data is done by interview, observation, and documentation study. The results of this study describes: First, vocal style of Rita Tila in making Pop Sunda which can be seen from song structure, scale, song form, vocal technique, and musical instrument. All of them Rita Tila mek a different style with other vocalist. Second, the implementation of Rita Tila’s vocal on Pop Sunda, which uses ornamentation oftembang, pesindenan and kawih. As for the song version of Pop Sunda, the technique used by Rita Tila is not too complex..Third, the characteristic of Rita Tilawhen singing PopSunda, which does not eliminate the elements of sekarkarawitanwhensinging the songs of Pop Sunda, it is seen from the techniques and ornamentation derived from the tradition of karawitanSunda.
