Abstract

Keberhasilan siswa dalam menggunakan buku teks ditentukan oleh kualitas buku teks. Banyak buku teks matematika yang kualitasnya baik. Dalam pengukuran kualitas buku teks harus diperhatikan aspek-aspek penting yaitu kesesuaian isi dengan kurikulum, kebenaran konsep, bahasa, dan penyajian grafik. Buku Sekolah Elektronik (BSE) merupakan salah satu bentuk buku teks yang saat ini banyak dimanfaatkan oleh guru dan siswa, khususnya kelas V Sekolah Dasar (SD). Meskipun sudah dinilai kelayakan oleh Badan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP), tetapi berdasarkan wawancara tidak terstruktur guru mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami isi maupun bahasa (matematika) . Hal ini menjadi dasar dilakukan penelitian dengan fokus: (1) kesesuaian materi dengan SK dan KD dalam kurikulum; (2) kebenaran konsep; (3) keterbacaan oleh siswa; (4) keterbacaan oleh guru; dan (5) kebermanfaatan bagi guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif, dimana penelitian dilakukan secara interaktif menggunakan wawancara dan angket dengan sumber data guru dan siswa, dan non interaktif menggunakan studi dokumen terhadap buku teks pelajaran matematika. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa: (1) Buku ini sesuai dengan kurikulum dengan menyajikan konsep dan prosedur pengerjaan pada materi pecahan, desimal, persen, perbandingan dan skala; (2) Notasi, konsep dan pengerjaan pada materi pecahan, desimal, persen, perbandingan dan skala telah sesuai dengan kebenaran konsep; (3) Keterbacaan oleh siswa dianggap mudah dan menarik, tetapi kurang dipahami; (4) Keterbacaan oleh guru dianggap cukup mudah, menarik dan dipahami; (5) Kebermanfaatan yang dirasakan oleh guru adalah dapat menambah wawasan tentang pembelajaran, serta meningkatkan kinerja dan produktivitas guru. Pola penilaian kelayakan ini dijadikan alat penilaian alternatif untuk menguji kelayakan buku teks pelajaran yang akan dipilih oleh guru atau sekolah. Measuring of textbook quality, have to pay attention of several important aspects, such as : compliant content with the curriculum, concept validity, languge and graph presentation. Electronic Schoolbooks is one of a form of textbook currently used by more teachers and students, particularly fifth graders of primary school. Although National Bureau for Professional Certification (BSNP) has carried out an empiric feasibility test on the type of books, based on the unstructured interview showed that many teachers rarely never used them due to difficulty in comprehending either content or language (maths). This is the basis of the study which focuses on: (1) compliance with the curiculum; (2) concept validity; (3) legibility for students; (4) legibility for teachers; and (5) usefulness for teachers.This study uses qualitative descriptive analysis method which applies both interactive (interview and questionnaire to teachers and students) and non interactive (document study on mathematics textbook) ways.Result of this study is: (1) The textbook is compliant with the curiculum, focusing on concepts and procedure to work on decimals, fractions, percentage, comparison and scales. (2) Notation, concepts and tricks to work on fractions, decimals, percentage, comparison and scales have been in accordance with the concept validity; (3) legibility for students: easy, interesting but a bit difficult to understand; (4) legibility for teachers: quite easy, interesting and easy to understand; (5) Usefulness for teachers: They can broaden knowledge in learning and improve their teaching performance and productivity. This sort of feasibility test pattern has been taken as an alternativeassessment instrument by teachers to decide which textbooks to use at schools Keywords: compliance with the curiculum, concept validity, legibility, usefulness, Maths Electronic Schoolbooks(BSE) for the fifth graders of primary school.
