Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa dengan menggunakan metode membaca cermat. Kemampuan membaca pemahaman adalah keterampilan yang harus dimiliki siswa yang bertujuan untuk memahami isi teks bacaan. Metode membaca cermat merupakan metode membaca yang dilakukan secara berulang. Metode tersebut dilakukan dalam tiga fase yaitu fase prabaca, fase membaca (membaca putaran pertama, kedua, dan ketiga) dan fase pascabaca. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) mengadaptasi model PTK dari kemmis dan Mc.Taggart, penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklusnya dilakukan dalam dua tindakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas IV SD dengan jumlah subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 siswa. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan lembar observasi, LKS, dan lembar evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman. Hal tersebut terbukti dari nilai rata-rata dan ketuntasan klasikal yang mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya.-- This study aims to describe the ability of accurate reading comprehension of students by applying the method of punctilious reading. The ability of reading comprehension of students is a skill that students should have in oreder to understand the content of the text reading. Punctilious reading method is of reading done repeatedly. This method is carried out in three i.e phase prabaca, phase reading (reading round first, second, and third) and phase pascabaca. The research method used is the class room action research (CAR) adapted the model of CAR Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart. Tthis research carried out in two cycles, each cycle performed in two actions by using qualitive and quantitative approach. Research sample was the fourth grade elementary school as many as 30 participants. Data retrieval method used sheet of observation, Students writing sheet and evaluation sheet. Results of the study showed an increase in the ability of reading comprehension. It is evident from the average value and the classical experience increased on each cycle.
