Abstract

Berpikir aljabar merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang penting dibiasakan sejak sekolah dasar. Sebelum siswa belajar tentang aljabar, siswa harus memiliki banyak pengalaman dalam melakukan representasi, abstraksi, dan generalisasi. Kemampuan representasi data menggunakan tabel dan diagram merupakan salah satu indikator berpikir aljabar. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena ditemukannya learning obstacles berpikir aljabar dengan merepresentasikan data menggunakan tabel dan diagram di kelas V sekolah dasar. Learning obstacles yang ditemukan meliputi ontogenical obstacles, epistemological obstacles dan didactical obstacles. Temuan learning obstacles ditelusuri lebih dalam berdasarkan jenisnya yakni, secara konseptual, instrumental maupun psikologikal. Hambatan tersebut menyebabkan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa sulit berkembang. Maka dari itu, perlu adanya pengembangan desain didaktis untuk mengatasi learning obstacles tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Didactical Design Research (DDR). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis learning obstacles yang ditemukan pada siswa untuk dijadikan sebagai pengembangan learning trajectory. Proses analisis tersebut menghasilkan alternatif situasi didaktis yang dapat mengatasi hambatan dalam berpikir aljabar. Alternatif situasi didaktis tersebut dijadikan landasan dalam mengembangkan lesson design yang akan diimplementasikan. Pada saat implementasi, peneliti mengumpulkan temuan-temuan yang terjadi diluar prediksi. Setelah implementasi peneliti melakukan analisis retrospektif untuk merumuskan desain revisi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lesson design berpikir aljabar kelas V sekolah dasar. Mengingat bahwa berpikir aljabar pada kurikulum di sekolah dasar masih tersirat, maka perlu pengembangan lesson design secara komprehensif untuk memfasilitasi siswa dalam mengembangkan berpikir aljabar. ;--- Algebraic thinking is one of the most important skills since elementary school. Before students learn about algebra, students must have a lot of experience in carrying out representations, abstractions, and generalizations. Background of this research caused by was founded some learning obstacles. The learning obstacles are ontogenical obstacles, epistemological obstacles and didactical obstacles. Learning obstacles was found traced by type namely, conceptually, instrumental or psychological. Therefore, it must be the development of didactic design to recover algebraic thinking obstacles. he algebraic thinking indicator used is modeling the problem situation using objects and representing data using tables, diagrams etc. The research method used is Didactical Design Research (DDR). This research was conducted by analyzing the learning obstacles that were found to be used as the development of learning trajectory thinking algebra. The process of analysis results in an alternative didactic situation that can overcome osbtacles in algebraic thinking. Alternative didactic situations are used as the basis for developing the lesson design that will be implemented. During implementation, the researchers collect the findings of the field that is beyond prediction. After implementation the researcher performs retrospective analysis for making formulation of revision design. The result of this research is a lesson design thinking of grade V elementary algebra. Algebraic thinking is one of the abilities that must be accustomed since elementary school. Given that the curriculum in elementary schools is not include, it is necessary to have related learning activities to facilitate students in developing algebraic thinking.
