Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika kecenderungan hanya dipandang dari segi mathematical content hingga lupa bahwa dalam matematika terdapat value yang dapat membangun pendidikan anak yang disebut dengan mathematical values yaitu values of mathematics. Oleh karena itu, peneliti tertarik untuk meneliti yang berhubungan dengan values of mathematics. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Untuk mengetahui pengetahuan guru terhadap hakekat matematika, values of mathematics, hakekat pembelajaran matematika. 2) Mengetahui implementasi pembelajaran matematika yang menggunakan values of mathematics. 3) Mengetahui respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika yang terintegrasi dengan values of mathematics. 4) Mengetahui kendala dalam implementasi pembelajaran matematika yang terintegrasi dengan values of mathematics. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan grounded theory. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah observasi, angket dan wawancara. Berdasarkan analisis data yang dilakukan, peneliti menemukan hasil antara lain 1) Pemahaman guru terhadap hakekat matematika dan pembelajaran matematika mencakup mathematical content and mathematical values namun, pemahaman tentang values of mathematics hanya mengatakan bahwa matematika sebagai pembelajaran yang bermakna tanpa menjelaskan bagaimana matematika itu menjadi bermakna. 2) Implementasi pembelajaran matematika yang menggunakan values of mathematics hal ini belum menjadi perhatian yang serius, hal ini diperoleh dari hasil yang diperoleh bahwa values of mathematics belum diterapkan. 3) Setelah peneliti menerapkan pembelajaran matematika yang terintegrasi dengan values of mathematics peneliti menemukan respons siswa lebih condong ke positif, dengan artian, siswa merespons values dengan baik. 4) Kendala yang dihadapi adalah sulitnya values diterapkan kepada siswa ketika siswa tidak tertarik sengan pembelajaran matematika dan banyaknya materi yang harus dipelajari sehingga membuat waktu terbatas dalam mengimplementasikan values of mathematics.--Most people often think that learning mathematics is only viewed in terms of mathematical content. Unfortunately, mathematical values that could build children’s education are often forgotten. These important yet disregarded values are called the values of mathematics. Many researchers, therefore, are interested in researching related values of mathematics. The aims of this study are: 1) to investigate the teacher's knowledge of the nature of mathematics, values of mathematics, the nature of mathematics learning. 2) Knowing the implementation of mathematics learning that implements the values of mathematics. 3) record students' responses to mathematics learning that are integrated with the values of mathematics. 4) Analyze the obstacles in the implementation of mathematics learning that is integrated with the values of mathematics. This research was conducted using qualitative research with a grounded-theory approach. The instrument of this research is observation, questionnaire and interview. Based on the data analysis, the researchers concludes: 1) Teacher's understanding of the nature of mathematics and mathematics learning includes mathematical content and mathematical values. However, the values of mathematics are only understood as the subject itself is meaningful to learn without explaining and understanding the purpose of the values of mathematics. 2) The implementation of mathematics learning that incorporates values of mathematics has not become a serious concern. These results were obtained from places where the values of mathematics have not been applied. 3) After the researcher applied mathematics learning that was integrated with values of mathematics, the researcher found that students' responses were more positive, meaning that students responded to the values well. 4) The constraints faced in applying the values of mathematics were the application of the valuesto students, especially when most students were not interested in learning mathematics. Additionally, the amount of material that must be learned to implement these values were limited.
