Abstract

Idealnya lulusan SMK Keahlian Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) dapat terserap secara maksimal ke dunia kerja yaitu DUDI, untuk itu pembelajaran di SMK TKR dirancang dengan memberikan porsi lebih pada praktek kerja, sehingga terjadi Link and Match antara kurikulum dengan tuntutan DUDI. Tetapi kenyataannya hasil uji kompetensi tidak sepenuhnya diakui DUDI, karena DUDI lebih memilih menilai kompetensi berdasarkan kriteria yang ditentukan sendiri. Hal ini terjadi karena pihak DUDI belum sepenuhnya terlibat mulai dari, perencanaan, pengorganisasian, implementasi dan evaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran TKR. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini mencoba mengetahui tentang implementasi kurikulum SMK untuk memenuhi tuntutan DUDI pada kompetensi keahlian TKR, dengan menjawab empat rumusan masalah, yaitu tentang; desain kurikulum TKR, proses implementasi kurikulum TKR, penguasaan kompetensi keahlian TKR. dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi implementasi kurikulum TKR. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan Concurrent Mixed Methods (metode kombinasi model campuran) dengan Concurrent Triangulation Strategy. Subjek penelitian adalah 90 guru TKR pada enam SMK keahlian TKR di Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, kuisioner, wawancara, dan analisa dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa; 1) Secara umum desain kurikulum TKR SMK hampir sama pada tiap SMK yang diteliti, yang berbeda adalah desain kurikulum TKR SMK yang melibatkan DUDI seperti yang dilakukan SMK A dan SMK B. 2) Pada proses implementasi kurikulum TKR, dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi guru sudah melaksanakan dengan baik. Keterlibatan DUDI hanya terbatas pada prakerin, kecuali SMK yang bermitra dengan DUDI. 3) Hasil penguasaan Kompetensi Keahlian TKR yang dimiliki siswa belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan tuntutan DUDI, dan 4) Faktor sarana dan prasarana praktek merupakan faktor yang sangat vital mempengaruhi implementasi kurikulum TKR. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, maka implikasi dari penelitian ini sekolah harus bermitra dengan DUDI dan melengkapi sarana prasarana praktek TKR, serta pihak DUDI harus terlibat mulai dari proses perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan pendidikan. Kata kunci : Implementasi Kurikulum, Desain Kurikulum, DUDI Ideally the graduations of Vocational School (SMK) on Skill Competency of Light Vehicle Engineering (TKR) or Light Vehicle Engineering Skill can be optimally absorbed into the work world or DUDI, therefore learning in Vocational School (SMK) on TKR program is designed to focus on practice, so that it can produce Link and Match between curriculum and the demands of DUDI. But the fact shows that the test results are not fully recognized by DUDI, because DUDI prefer assessing the competency based on the criteria determined. This happens because the DUDI has not fully involved yet in planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of learning activities on TKR program. Because of these problems, this study try to know about the implementation of the vocational curriculum to meet the demands of the DUDI on competency skills of TKR, by answering four formulations of the research problem about TKR curriculum design, the process of TKR curriculum implementation, the mastery of TKR skills competency and some factors that influence TKR curriculum implementation. The approach used in this research is Concurrent Mixed Methods (metode kombinasi model campuran) with Concurrent Triangulation Strategy. The subjects of the research are 90 TKR teachers of six vocational school (SMK) with TKR program in Bandung. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. The results of this study shows that: 1) In general the design of TKR curriculum of vocational school (SMK) is almost the same for all vocational school being researched, what makes it different is the design of TKR curriculum of vocational school (SMK) that involves DUDI in it like SMK A and SMK B. 2) In the process of TKR curriculum implementation which start from planning, implementation, and evaluation has already been done well by teachers. The Involvement DUDI is confined only on prakerin (apprentice program), except the vocational school (SMK) which has a partnership with DUDI. 3) The results of TKR Skills Competency mastery of the student has not fully complied with the demands DUDI yet, and 4) The facilities and infrastructure factors are the vital factors affecting the implementation of the TKR curriculum. Based on the result of the research, the implications of this study tells that vocational school (SMK) should have partnership with DUDI and complete the infrastructures of TKR, and DUDI should be involved in the process of planning, organizing, implementation and evaluation of educational activities.
