Abstract

Salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa adalah berpikir kritis. Pentingnya berpikir kritis salah satunya tertera pada tujuan umum diberikannya matematika berdasarkan Garis-Garis Besar Program Pengajaran (GBPP) Matematika yaitu mempersiapkan siswa agar sanggup menghadapi perubahan keadaan di dalam kehidupan dan di dunia yang selalu berkembang, melalui latihan bertindak atas dasar pemikiran secara logis, rasional, kritis, cermat, jujur, efektif, dan efesien. Akan tetapi, berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan PPPPTK dalam PISA dan banyak penelitian yang telah dilakukan kenyataannya hasil penelitian kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa masih rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan ini dikarenakan belajar siswa masih belum bermakna, sehingga konsep dalam matematika menjadi sulit untuk dipahami. Salah satu pembelajaran matematika yang mengaitkan pengalaman kehidupan nyata siswa dengan materi matematika sehingga belajar siswa menjadi bermakna adalah pembelajaran matematika realistik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan satu kelas eksperimenyaitu siswa memperoleh pembelajaran matematika realistik berkarakterdan satu kelas kontrol yaitu siswa memperoleh pembelajaran scientific. Teknik pengumpulan data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui hasil pretest dan postest.Sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui angket dan lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan siswa.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan melihat rata-rata N-Gain, memperoleh hasil secara deksriptifterdapat peningkatan secara signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa serta berdasarkan angket secara deskriptif memperoleh respon siswa cukup baik terhadap pembelajaran matematika realistik berkarakter.;--One of the capabilities that students must have is critical thinking. One of the importance of critical thinking written on the general purpose of mathematics based on the Outlines of the Mathematics Teaching Program (GBPP) is to prepare students to be able to deal with changing circumstances in life and in an ever-evolving world, through practice acting on the basis of logical thinking, rational, critical, accurate, honest, effective, and efficient.However, based on the research that has been done by PPPPTK in PISA and many research that has been done, the reality of the research result of students mathematical critical thinking ability is still low. This low ability caused by students learning that still not meaningful so that the concept in mathematics becomes difficult to understand.One of the mathematics learning that relates the students real-life experiences with mathematics materials so that student learning becomes meaningful is realistic mathematics.The method used in this research is quasi experiment, with one experiment class that is students get realistic mathematics learning character and one control class that is students get scientific learning. Quantitative data collectiontechniques are obtained through pretest and posttest results. While the qualitative data obtained through questionnaires and observation sheet activities of teachers and students. Based on the results of research by looking at the average of N-Gain, to get the results descriptive there is a significant increase in the students critical thinking skills and descriptive questionnaire based on student responses well enough to the learning of realistic mathematics character.
