Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang fleksibilitas penggunaan partikel Kong dalam bahasa Melayu Ternate. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kategori sintaksis Kong dalam bahasa Melayu Ternate dan mengetahui penggunaan ujaran Kong dalam bahasa Melayu Ternate dikaitkan dengan konteks SPEK (Setting and Scene, Participant, Ends, Key) serta untuk mengetahui jenis tindak tutur yang mengandung ujaran Kong. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian yang diambil berjumlah 40 data dengan total 1.078 data ujaran Kong dalam bahasa Melayu Ternate. Data tersebut ditelaah menggunakan teori SPEAKING yang digagas oleh Hymes (1972) untuk melihat keterkaitan konteks SPEK dengan penggunaan ujaran Kong dalam bahasa Melayu Ternate, kemudian jenis tindak tutur dianalisis menggunakan teori tindak tutur Searle (1969). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kategori sintaksis Kong dalam bahasa Melayu Ternate yakni sebagai partikel, kemudian keterkaitan antara konteks SPEK dengan penggunaan ujaran Kong dalam bahasa Melayu Ternate memiliki tiga kecenderungan yakni 1) penggunaan ujaran Kong ditemukan di berbagai setting tempat 2) faktor situasi dan faktor topik pembicaraan mempengaruhi penggunaan ujaran Kong, 3) faktor jarak kedekatan hubungan dan status sosial partisipan mempengaruhi penggunaan ujaran Kong. Selanjutnya, dari data temuan ditemukan empat jenis tindak tutur yang mengandung ujaran Kong yaitu tindak tutur asertif, direktif, ekspresif dan komisif.;-- This study examined the flexibility of using Kong particles in Malay Ternate. The purpose of this research is to know the syntaxis category of Kong in Ternate Malay language; to know the use speech of Kong in Ternate Malay language related to SPEK context (setting and scene, participant, end, key); and also to know the category of speech act that consisted from Kong utterance in Malay Ternate . This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research data is consisted from 40 data with the total of 1,078 speech data of Kong in Ternate Malay language. The data were analyzed by using SPEAKING theory by Hymes (1972) to see the relevance between the SPEK context with the use of Kong utterance in Ternate Malay and also Searle's speech act theory on analyzing the utterances. Based on the results of the research showed that (i) the syntaxis category of Kong in Ternate Malay language as a particle; (ii) the relationship between SPEK context with the use of Kong in Ternate Malay language has 3 tendency; first, the use of Kong found in various settings, second, the context of situation has positively affected the use of Kong, and third, the distance factor of proximity relationship and social status of participants influenced the use of Kong; (iii) four from five categories of speech act that are assertives, directives, expressives, and commissive are found along with the using of Kong in the Malay language of Ternate.
