Abstract
Literasi sains merupakan sebuah aspek yang penting untuk siswa miliki mulai dari pendidikan pertamanya di sekolah dasar. Hanya saja, literasi sains siswa Indonesia masih cukup rendah apabila dibandingkan dengan negara lainnya di dunia. Rendahnya literasi sains siswa ini disinyalir sebagai dampak dari pembelajaran yang menempatkan siswa sebagai objek. Maka dari itu, pembelajaran yang aktif dan menempatkan siswa sebagai subjek belajar menjadi salahsatu solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, yaitu dengan menggunakan pembelajaran Double Loop Problem Solving. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Double Loop Problem Solving dalam meningkatkan literasi sains siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest yang tidak ekuivalen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas V di Kecamatan Sumedang Selatan dengan sampel yang terpilih adalah SDN Gudangkopi I dan SDN Cipameungpeuk. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran Double Loop Problem Solving dan variabel terikatnya adalah literasi sains siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes literasi sains, angket sikap sains, observasi, dan angket respon siswa. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah : 1) Pembelajaran Double Loop Problem Solving dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa di kelas eksperimen, 2) Pembelajaran konvensional dapat meningkatkan literasi sains siswa di kelas kontrol, 3) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan literasi sains siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran Double Loop Problem Solving, literasi Science literacy is an important aspect for students to have from their first education in elementary school. It's just that, scientific literacy of Indonesian students is still quite low when compared to other countries in the world. The low level of scientific literacy of these students is allegedly the impact of learning that places students as objects. Therefore, active learning and placing students as subjects of learning is one of the solutions to overcome these problems, namely by using Double Loop Problem Solving learning. This study was conducted to determine the effect of learning Double Loop Problem Solving in improving students' scientific literacy. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design that was not equivalent. The population in this study were all class V students in Sumedang Selatan District with the selected sample being Gudangkopi I Elementary School and Cipameungpeuk Elementary School. The independent variable in this study is learning Double Loop Problem Solving and the dependent variable is student scientific literacy. The instruments used were scientific literacy test questions, science attitude questionnaires, observations, and student response questionnaires. The results obtained from this study are: 1) Double Loop Problem Solving Learning can improve scientific literacy of students in the experimental class, 2) Conventional learning can improve scientific literacy of students in the control class, 3) There are differences in students' scientific literacy improvement between experimental and class classes control.
