Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kinerja guru dalam perencanaan maupun pelaksanaan pembelajaran, kurangnya aktivitas siswa dan kurangnya pencapaian hasil belajar siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperbaiki masalah yang terjadi di dalam kelas dan meningkatkan serta memperbaiki kinerja guru dalam perencanaan maupun pelaksanaan, aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Pasir I. Keterampilan yang akan diperbaiki dalam penelitian ini adalah keterampilan menulis ringkasan. Teori yang mendasari penelitian ini yaitu teori pembelajaran bahasa, keterampilan menulis ringkasan, penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda titik, metode 4P Duti Duta, serta teori belajar bahasa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian meliputi lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, lembar catatan lapangan dan soal tes. Bentuk validasi yang digunnakan adalah member check, triangulasi, dan expert opinion. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan: 1) kinerja guru perencanaan siklus I 88,88%, siklus II 95,5%, dan siklus III 100%. 2) kinerja guru pelaksanaan siklus I 83,33%, siklus II 92,5%, dan siklus III 100%. 3) aktivitas siswa kriteria baik sekali siklus I 44%, siklus II 60%, dan siklus III 88%. 4) hasil belajar siswa siklus I 52%, siklus II 72%, dan siklus III 92%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian dengan menerapkan metode 4P Duti Duta dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru, aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis ringkasan. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Menulis Ringkasan, Metode 4P, Metode Duti Duta This research is motivated by the deficiency of teacher performance in planning and implementing learning, deficiency of student activity and learning result. The purpose of this study is to correct problems that occur in the classroom and improve the teacher performance in planning and implementation, student activities and learning result. The research method used was Classroom Action Research developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The subjects in this research were 5th grade students of SDN Pasir I. The skills to be improved in this research was summary writing skills. The theories underlying this research were Indonesian language learning, summary writing skills, use of capital letters and dots, 4P Duti Duta method, and language learning theory. The instruments used in this research included observation sheets, interview guidelines, field note sheets and test questions. The form of validation used is member check, triangulation, and expert opinion. The results of the study showed an increase: 1) teacher planning performance, cycle I 88.88%, cycle II 95.5%, and cycle III 100%. 2) performance of teacher implementation, cycle I 83.33%, cycle II 92.5%, and cycle III 100%. 3) student activity criteria are very good, cycle I 44%, cycle II 60%, and cycle III 88%. 4) student learning result in cycle I 52%, cycle II 72%, and cycle III 92%. Thus it can be concluded that research by implementation the 4P Duti Duta method can increase teacher performance, student activity and learning result in writing summaries.
