Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam keterampilan menulis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks anekdot di kelas eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode sugesti imajinasi berbantuan media lagu; 2) mengetahui kemampuan menulis teks anekdot di kelas kontrol sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode pembelajaran terlangsung; 3) mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment dengan desain pretes-posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas 30 orang di kelompok eksperimen dan 30 orang di kelas kontrol. Sampel tersebut diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu tahap tes awal, tahap perlakuan, dan tahap tes akhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam pembelajaran menyimak teks anekdot. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diperoleh thitung sebesar 5,329 dan ttabel dengan derajat kebebasan 58 dan derajat kepercayaan 95% diketahui ttabel yaitu 2,001. Maka dapat diketahui bahwa thitung > ttabel atau 5,329 > 2,001. Penelitian ini juga menghitung pengaruh metode sugesti imajinasi berbantuan media lagu terhadap kemampuan menulis teks anekdot siswa dengan menggunakan uji regresi. Berdasarkan uji regresi, diperoleh nilai sig. sebesar 0,007. Angka tersebut lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,007 < 0,05). Dengan demikian, metode sugesti imajinasi berbantuan media lagu berpengaruh terhadap pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot.;--This research was motivated by the lack of students’ ability in writing skill. The purposes of this research were: 1) to discover the students’ ability in anecdote writing before and after the implementation of Suggestion of Imagination Method Aided by a song as a media in the experiment class; 2) to discover students’ ability in anecdote writing before and after the implementation of the method in the control class during learning activity; 3) to discover the differences of students’ ability in the experiment and control class. Method that applied in this research was Quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. Sample of this research consisted of 30 people in the experiment class and 30 people in the control class. Cluster sampling was used to get the sample. This research was conducted in three stages, which are pre-test stage, implementation stage, and post-test. The result of the research shows that there were some significant differences in the learning anecdotes. According to the hypothesis test, obtained tcount of 5.329 and ttable with a degree of freedom of 58 and degree of credibility of 95%, known ttable of 2.001. thus, it can be seen that tcount > ttable or 5.329 > 2.001. this research also calculated the effect of imagination suggestion method aided by a song as the media towards the students’ ability of anecdote writing using regression test. According to the regression test, obtained the value of sig. of 0.007. that value is smaller than 0.05 (0.007 < 0.05). thus, the method of imagination suggestion aided by a song as the media has an effect towards anecdote writing lesson.
