Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian Tindakan Kelas merupakan tindakan yang dilakukan untuk memperbaiki permasalahan-permasalahan yang terjadi di dalam kelas. Perbaikan yang dilakukan peneliti adalah perbaikan terhadap permasalahan keterampilan membaca pemahaman pada materi teks narasi. Upaya perbaikan dilakukan berdasarkan hasil analisis peneliti dari penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan. Perbaikan yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk memperbaiki perencanaan, pelaksanaan, aktivitas siswa serta hasil belajar siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Panyingkiran III, Kecamatan Sumedang Utara, Kabupaten Sumedang. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan, penerapan Metode PQ5R (Preview, Question, Read, Record, Reflect, Recite, And Review) mengalami peningkatan untuk kinerja guru tahap perencanaan siklus I 75%, siklus II 83%, siklus III 96%. Untuk kinerja guru tahap pelaksanaan siklus I 74%, siklus II 83%, siklus III 96%. Aktivitas siswa dengan kriteria baik sekali siklus I 42%, siklus II 65%, siklus III 87%. Hasil belajar siswa siklus I 45%, siklus II 58%, siklus III 87%. Dengan adanya data hasil penelitian tersebut, maka dapat dilihat adanya peningkatan dari setiap siklusnya. Adanya peningkatan tersebut dikarenakan perbaikan yang dilakukan pada setiap siklusnya. Dengan demikian terbukti bahwa penerapan Metode PQ5R (Preview, Question, Read, Record, Reflect, Recite, And Review) dapat meningkatkan hasil keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa pada materi teks narasi. The improvement carried out by the researcher was an improvement to the problem of understanding reading skills in narrative text material. Improvement efforts are carried out based on the results of the analysis of researchers from the research that has been carried out. Improvements made aim to improve the planning, implementation, activity of students and student learning outcomes. The subjects in this study were the fifth grade students of Panyingkiran III Elementary School, Sumedang Utara District, Sumedang Regency. Based on the research that has been carried out, the application of the PQ5R Method (Preview, Question, Read, Record, Reflect, Recite, And Review) has increased for teacher performance planning phase I 75%, cycle II 83%, cycle III 96%. For teacher performance, the implementation stage of the first cycle is 74%, cycle II 83%, cycle III 96%. The activity of students with criteria is very good, first cycle 42%, second cycle 65%, cycle III 87%. Student learning outcomes in cycle I 45%, cycle II 58%, cycle III 87%. With the data from the research results, it can be seen that there is an increase in each cycle. The increase is due to improvements made in each cycle. Thus it is proven that the application of the PQ5R Method (Preview, Question, Read, Record, Reflect, Recite, And Review) can improve the results of reading comprehension skills of students in narrative text material.
