Abstract

Dengan demikian, penerapan model problem based learning dapat meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik kelas V SD.;--This research is motivated by the low competention of scientific literacy elementary school students. It is causes the science learning not using inquiry activity to problem solving. This study aims to determine the role of problem based learning to increase scientific literacy elementary school students. Subject in this study are students of grade V elementary school, amounted to 30 students. Location in this study at either of elementary school in Bandung City. The method used is action research class adaptation by Kemmis and Taggart. This study showed a planning to learning based of Permendikbud No. 22 Tahun 2016, action learning based the role of problem- based learning, and an increase in scientific literacy grade V elementary students. The instrument used consisted of scientific literacy test and observation guidance. The test result showed students average score in cycle I 63,83, cycle II 79,67, and cycle III 87,67.
