Abstract

Borondong merupakan salah satu makanan tradisional warisan budaya masyarakat Sunda di Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Pada zaman sekarang makanan tradisional Borondong kurang diminati masyarakat, kalah pamor dengan makanan modern bahkan makanan tradisional lain. Perlu adanya aksi nyata dalam melestarikan makanan tradisional ini yakni salah satunya dengan melihat potensi Borondong sebagai daya tarik tersendiri dan mengangkat pendapatan masyarakat di Kecamatan Ibun , Kabupaten Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan sejarah, filosofi, tradisi dan cara pembuatan makanan tradisional Borondong. Namun sudah dapat diketahui makanan tradisional Borondong pada zaman sekarang memprihatinkan. Tetapi sudah terdapat upaya dari para produsen Borondong dan pemerintah untuk melestarikannya dengan caranya masing-masing, namun perlu di optimalkan. Makanan tradisional Borondong cukup berpotensi menjai salah satu makanan tradisional yang cocok untuk oleh-oleh khas Kecamatan Ibun. Hal itu ditunjang dengan produsen yang cukup memadai dan perlu inovasi , kreasi dan kemasan yang menarik supaya dapat menarik konsumenuntuk membeli. Dengan begitu peningkatan produk Borondong, khususnya kemasan dan story telling tentang sejarah, tradisi, dan filosofi dan aktifitas pembuatannya dapat diharapkan dapat menjadikan Borondong sebagai daya tarik gastronomi yang dikenal masyarakat lokal, nasional dan mancanegara. ;---Borondong is one of traditional foods cultural heritage the sunda in west java, indonesia. In today traditional foods borondong less attractive to the community, lost reputation of with food modern other traditional even food. Real action is needed to preserve traditional foods is one of the borondong assess the potential as attraction and raised revenue the community in kecamatan ibun, bandung district. The study is done using methods of qualitative data collection through in depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study show history, the philosophy, tradition and the procedure of making borondong traditional foods. But have found borondong traditional foods in the present age concern .But there are the efforts of producers and the government borondong way to preserve it, it needs to be in optimum. Traditional foods borondong is one potential to traditional foods suitable for gift typical Ibun sub district. It was supported by with producers functional need to innovation, creation and packaging that draws so that it can attract konsumenuntuk buy. So the increase in borondong products, especially packaging and story telling about the history, tradition, and the philosophy of the are of the creation was one might expect make borondong as a lure gastronomi known by the local community, national and foreign.
