Abstract

Salah satu tujuan penting dari pendidikan matematika di sekolah adalah literasi statistik, akan tetapi kemampuan literasi statistik siswa Indonesia masih pada kategori yang mengkhawatirkan dan siswa Indonesia untuk jenjang SMP belum dapat bersaing secara internasional pada bagian literasi statistik. Untuk menyelesaikan soal-soal literasi statistik dengan level yang tinggi diperlukan sikap positif yang disebut reseliensi matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan literasi statistik dam resiliensi siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 33 siswa Kelas VIII di salah satu MTsN di Banda Aceh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes literasi statistik, angket resiliensi siswa dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) literasi statistik dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA siswa SMP belum memuaskan, beberapa kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan tes literasi statistik PISA yaitu, kesulitan memahami masalah dalam konteks, kesulitan membaca grafik, kesulitan menginterpretasi diagram batang, kesulitan membaca skala pada grafik, tidak mampu membaca dan menginterpretasi diagram lingkaran, tidak teliti dalam menafsirkan grafik yang disajikan, tidak teliti dalam berhitung, kesulitan menelaah grafik secara keseluruhan dan kesulitan membuat kesimpulan; (2) literasi statistik siswa SMP kelas VIII dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA konten uncertainty and data masih berada dibawah pencapaian hasil tes PISA intenasional, namun lebih baik dari pencapaian hasil siswa Indonesia pada tes PISA internasional, (3) resiliensi matematis siswa masih dominan berada pada kategori sedang.-- One of the important objectives in mathematics education is statistical literacy, but the statistical literacy skills of Indonesian students are still in low category and Indonesian students for junior high schools cannot compete internationally in the statistical literacy section. To solve high level statistical literacy problems, a positive attitude are requared that is mathematical resilience. This study aims to determine statistical literacy skills and resilience of junior high school students in solving PISA problems. This research method is qualitative descriptive. Participants in this study were 33 Grade VIII students at one MTsN in Banda Aceh. Data collection was carried out through statistical literacy test, student resilience questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that: (1) statistical literacy in solving PISA problems in junior high school students has not been statisfactory, some difficulties students in completing PISA statistical literacy tests are difficulty understanding problems in context, difficulty reading graphs, difficulty interpreting bar charts, difficulty reading scale on the graph, unable to read and interpret circle diagrams, not careful in interpreting the graphs presented, not careful in counting, difficulty in examining the graph as a whole and difficulty in making conclusions; (2) statistical literacy of eighth grade junior high school students in solving PISA questions of uncertainty and data content is still below the achievement of the international PISA test, but better than the achievement of Indonesian students on the international PISA test, (3) the mathematical resilience of students are still dominant in the medium category.
