Abstract

Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya pemahaman konsep produktivitas tenaga kerja pada peserta didik di Kabupaten Sukabumi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh tipe pembelajaran Think Talk Write terhadap pemahaman konsep produktivitas tenaga kerja pada pembelajaran IPS. Tipe pembelajaran Think Talk Write dapat mengembangkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik, sehingga tipe ini dipercaya mampu untuk membantu permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan sekitar, khususnya mengatasi permasalahan produktivitas dalam ketenagakerjaan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperiment dengan model non-equivalent control group design. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan: (1) terdapat perbedaan pemahaman konsep peserta didik yang signifikan dalam pembelajaran IPS kelas VII antara sebelum (pengukuran awal/pre-test) dan sesudah (pengukuran akhir/post-test) dengan menerapakan tipe pembelajaran Think Talk Write pada kelas eksperimen, (2) tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada pengukuran awal (pre-test) dan pengukuran akhir (post-test) tentang pemahaman konsep di kelas kontrol yang menggunakan tipe pembelajaran Think Pair Share, (3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara tipe pembelajaran Think Talk Write dengan tipe pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Simpulan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tipe pembelajaran Think Talk Write lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dibandingkan dengan tipe pembelajaran Think Pair Share. ----------The problem studied in this research about the low of understanding the concept of labor productivity of students in Sukabumi. The purpose of this study was to known the influence of Think Talk Write type of learning on understanding the concept of labour productivity in social studies learning. Think Talk Write type of learning is believed to help students solve their environmental problems, especially to solve of labour productivity. The method used in the present study is a quasi experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The results of data analysis show that: (1) there was a significant difference of students on understanding the concept in the social studies learning of class VII before and after applying Think Talk Write type of learning in the experiment class; (2) there was no significant difference of students on understanding the concept before and after implementing the Think Pair Share type of learning in the control class; (3) there was a significant difference between Think Talk Write and Think Pair Share type of learning. It can be concluded that the use of Think Talk Write type of learning in improving students on understanding the concept is more effective than the use of Think Pair Share the type of learning.
