Abstract
Permasalahan yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya mutu kompetensi siswa di SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1 dan Bina Warga Kota Bandung. Fokus kajiannya pada kompetensi yang dimiliki guru yang mempengaruhi mutu kompetensi siswa, dimana ke-empat kompetensi guru yaitu kompetensi Profesional, pedagogic, sosial, dan kepribadian merupakan faktor yang diduga memiliki pengaruh terhadap mutu kompetensi siswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mengkaji dua variabel yaitu Kompetensi Guru (X), dan Mutu Kompetensi Siswa (Y). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh dari kompetensi yang dimiliki guru terhadap mutu kompetensi siswa di SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1 dan Bina Warga Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey eksplanatory. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan responden sebanyak 60 guru di SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1 dan Bina Warga Kota Bandung. Teknik analisis menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh informasi bahwa kompetensi guru dan mutu kompetensi siswa berada pada kategori cukup tinggi. Dari hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap mutu kompetensi siswa SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1 dan Bina Warga Kota Bandung. ;---The problems that become the study in this research is not yet optimal quality of student competence in SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1, and Bina Warga Kota Bandung. The focus of the study on the competence of teachers that affect the quality of student competence, where the four competencies of teachers of professional competence, pedagogic, social, and personality are factors that allegedly have an influence on the quality of student competence. Therefore, this study examines two variables: Teacher Competence (X), and Quality of Student Competency (Y). The purpose of this study to determine whether there is influence of the competence of teachers on the quality of student competence in SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1, and Bina Warga Bandung. This research uses explanatory survey method. Data collection techniques used questionnaires with respondents as many as 60 teachers at SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1, and Bina Warga Kota Bandung. The analysis technique used simple regression analysis. Based on the results of research, obtained information that the competence of teachers and the quality of student competence is in the category high enough. From result of hypothesis test show that teacher competence have positive and significant effect to quality of student competence in SMK PGRI, Pasundan 1 and Bina Warga Bandung City.
