Abstract

Masalah yang ditemui oleh peneliti pada saat melakukan studi pendahuluan yaitu ada peserta didik yang mampu menyebutkan nama bilangan secara acak-acakan/tidak berurutan tetapi belum mengenal lambang serta konsep bilangannya. Permasalahan yang diungkap dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai konsep bilangan seperti mengenal lambang bilangan, membilang, memasangkan/menjodohkan banyak benda dengan lambang bilangan yang sesuai dan mengurutkan benda atau lambang bilangan dari yang paling sedikit sampai yang paling banyak dan sebaliknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai metode scaffolding dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memahami konsep bilangan 1-9 bagi tunagrahita ringan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan single subject research (SSR) dengan disain A-B-A. Hasil menunjukan pengaruh positif penggunaan metode scaffolding terhadap kemampuan memahami konsep bilangan peserta didik tunagrahita ringan, dengan adanya peningkatan kemampuan memahami konsep bilangan peserta didik tunagrahita ringan, penelitian ini dapat dijadikan altenatif metode yang membantu mengembangkan kemampuan memahami konsep bilangan bagi peserta didik tunagrahita ringan.;---Problems encountered by researchers at the time of the preliminary studies i.e. There are learners who are able to mention the number in desultory/not sequential but not yet acquainted with the coat of arms and the concept of number. Problems that are revealed in this study is about the concept of numbers such as know the symbol numbers, enumerating, pair/ask many objects with the emblem of the corresponding numbers and sort the objects or the number of the at least until the most-and vice versa. The purpose of this research is to gain an overview of scaffolding method in improving the ability of understanding the concept of numbers 1-9 for mild mental retardation. This research using the method of experimentation with single subject approach to research (SSR) with a design of A-B-A. The results showed the positive influence the use of scaffolding method against the ability to understand the concept of learner numbers mild mental retardation, with an increase in the ability to understand the concept of mild mental retardation learner numbers, this research can be used alternatively methods that help to develop the ability to understand the concept of numbers for mild mental retardation learners.
