Abstract

Laporan penelitian ini membahas pengaruh praktek kerja industri dan prestasi belajar mata pelajaran produktif terhadap kesiapan kerja para siswa kelas XII di sebuah SMK Negeri di kota Bandung. Variabel praktek kerja industri diukur oleh 8 indikator yang mencakup disiplin, jujur, santun, tanggungjawab, toleransi, percaya diri, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Variabel prestasi belajar mata pelajaran produktif diukur oleh nilai akhir siswa dari semester 1-5. Adapun variabel kesiapan kerja diukur oleh 27 indikator yang terdiri dari interests (minat), desire (keinginan), ethic (etika kerja), professional ideals, views (pandangan), principles (prinsip), beliefs (keyakinan), readiness to act (kesiapan untuk bertindak), responsibility (tanggung jawab), attention (perhatian), ideas (ide), perception (persepsi), memory (ingatan), thinking (cara berpikir), abilities (kemampuan), knowledge (pengetahuan), actions (tindakan), operations (operasi), emotional tone (emosional), emotionalsensitivity (kepekaan), purposefulness (tujuan), self-control (pengendalian diri), persistence (ketekunan), initiative (inisiatif), determination (tekad), independence (kemandirian), dan self-criticism (intropeksi diri). Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif verifikatif, data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket dan hasil belajar siswa. Angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data terkait dengan variabel praktek kerja industri dan kesiapan kerja, dan hasil belajar akhir siswa digunakan sebagai data untuk mengukur variabel prestasi belajar pada mata pelajaran produktif. Data dikumpulkan dari 144 orang siswa kelas XII program keahlian Administrasi Perkantoran pada SMK Negeri di kota Bandung. Data tersebut dianalisa dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif berupa persentase frekuensi dan analisis inferensial berupa regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari variabel praktek kerja industri dan prestasi belajar pada mata pelajaran produktif terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK pada konteks penelitian. Untuk meningkatkan pengaruh antar variabel yang diteliti, penelitian ini menyarankan agar indikator pengetahuan pada variabel praktek kerja industri dan indikator idea pada variabel kesiapan kerja harus ditingkatkan melalui kegiatan proses belajar mengajar dan praktek kerja industri yang lebih fokus dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengetahuan dan idea siswa SMK sehingga mereka dapat lebih siap dan optimal di dunia kerja setelah mereka lulus. ..... This research report discusses the influence of students industrial work experience and learning achievement of productive subjects against student readiness to work of twelve grade student’s in a vocational high school in Bandung city. The variabel of students industrial work experience are measured by 8 indicators covering of of discipline, honest, polite, responsibility, tolerance, self-confidence, knowledge and skills. The variabel of learning achievement of productive subjects is measured by the final grade of students from semesters 1-5. The variabel of student readiness to work is measured by interests, desire, ethic, professional ideals, views, principles, beliefs, readiness to act, responsibility, attention, ideas, perception, memory, thinking, abilities, knowledge, actions, operations, emotional tone, emotionalsensitivity, purposefulness, self-control, persistence, initiative, determination, independence, and self-criticism. By using deskriptif verifikatif methode, data in this research was collected by using questionnaires and student learning outcomes. Questionnaires is used to collect related data of students industrial work experience and student readiness to work, and studeng learning outcomes are used as data to measure variabel of learning achievement of productive subjects. Data was collected of 144 of twelve grade student’s office administration in a vocational high school Bandung city. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistic analysis with some frequenccy percentage and inferensial analysis in the form of multiple regression. The results show that there is a positive and significant effect of the variable industry work practices and learning achievement in the subjects productive to job readiness vocational students in the research context. To increase the influence between the variables studied, this study suggests that indicators of knowledge on variable working practices of industrial and indicators ideas on variable job readiness must be improved through the teaching and learning process and practice of industrial work that is more focused on improving the quality of knowledge and ideas vocational students so that they can more readily and optimally in the workforce after they graduate.
