Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perlunya media untuk menanamkan karakter pada anak usia pra sekolah di panti asuhan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat digital story telling dalam penanaman karakter pada anak usia pra sekolah di panti asuhan. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model penelitian Planning, Production, and Evaluation (PPE). Instrumen penelitian berupa pedoman wawancara dan Lembar Validasi Expert Judgement. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dua orang validator yang terdiri dari ahli media dan ahli materi. Hasil pembuatan digital story telling meliputi aspek media dan materi berada pada kriteria layak digunakan. Hasil validasi berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi meliputi seperti sesuainya tata bahasa, kosa kata, dan ungkapan dipilih, kalimat disampaikan dengan ucapan, tekanan kata dan intonasi yang tepat, bahasa yang digunakan mudah dipahami oleh anak usia pra sekolah, gagasan sesuai dengan cerita dan isi cerita mendukung penanaman nilai karakter anak usia pra sekolah, pesan dalam cerita dapat dipahami oleh anak usia pra sekolah. Aspek penilaian media terdiri dari aspek rekayasa perangkat lunak dan aspek komunikasi visual. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada pengasuh agar Digital story telling ini dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk penanaman nilai karakter pada anak usia pra sekolah di panti asuhan. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya, diharapkan dapat melakukan kajian pada variabel lain terkait penggunaan digital story telling, yaitu implementasi digital story telling di panti asuhan. This research is initiated by the need for media to create a character of pre-school age children in orphanages. The purpose of this study is to make the digital story telling creates a character for pre-school age children in orphanages. The research method used is Research and Development (R & D) through Planning, Production, and Evaluation (PPE) research model. The research instrument is formed by Validation Expert Judgment Sheet interview. The participants in this study are two validators consisting of media experts and material experts. The results in the making of digital storytelling include aspects of the media and material that are on the criteria formed for proper use. The results of the validation based on the assessment of material experts include the suitability of grammar, vocabulary, and selected phrases, sentences delivered with words, emphasized words and intonation, the language used is easily understood by pre-school age children, ideas in accordance with stories and supporting stories to create a character value of pre-school age children, the message in the story can be understood by pre-school age children. The recommendations are aimed at sitter so that this Digital story telling can be used as a media to create character values in pre-school age children in orphanages. For further researchers, it is expected to be able to conduct studies on other variables related to the use of digital storytelling, It is the implementation of digital story telling in orphanages.
