Abstract

Pengaruh Case-Based Learning (CBL) Dengan Menggunakan Pendekatan Science, Technology and Society (STS) Pada Pembelajaran Fisika Terhadap Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Dan Literasi Teknologi Siswa SMK Ahmad Faisal Fachrudin, 1402204 Abstrak Siswa sekolah kejuruan di Indonesia dituntut untuk siap menjadi tenaga kerja yang terampil sehingga mampu bersaing dengan tenaga kerja asing. Di era teknologi ini, kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan melek teknologi adalah hal yang paling penting bagi mereka. Studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa dua kemampuan ini masih berada pada kategori rendah. Diperlukan sebuah solusi yang dapat mengatasi masalah ini. Beberapa penelitian membuktikan bahwa case-base learning berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Sementara itu, pendekatan science, technology and society berhasil meningkatkan literasi teknologi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan efek menggabungkan model dengan pendekatan tersebut pada pembelajaran fisika terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan literasi teknologi siswa sekolah kejuruan. Metode penelitian semi eksperimen dilakukan untuk memperoleh data mengenai peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan literasi teknologi siswa. Kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan berupa model pembelajaran case-based learning. Sedangkan kelas eksperimen diberi perlakuan berupa pembelajaran case-based learning dengan pendekatan science, technology and society. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di kelas kontrol berada pada kategori sedang sebesar 0.6 dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran CBL dengan pendekatan STS adalah 0.69. Sedangkan rata-rata peningkatan literasi teknologi siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran CBL berada pada kategori rendah sebesar 0.29 dan siswa ang mengikuti pembelajaran CBL dengan pendekatan STS berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 0.74. Hasil analisis dan uji hipotesis menyimpulkan bahwa meski tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara rata-rata peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah kelas kontrol dan eksperimen, pembelajaran CBL dengan pendekatan STS dapat meningkatkan literasi teknologi secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran CBL. The Effect of Case-Based Learning (CBL) Using the Science, Technology and Society (STS) Approach In Physics Learning To Problem Solving Ability and Technology Literacy of Vocational Students Ahmad Faisal Fachrudin, 1402204 Abstract Vocational school students in Indonesia are required to be ready to become skilled workers so that they can compete with foreign workers. In this technological era, the ability to solve problems and technology literacy is the most important thing for them. The preliminary study shows that these two abilities are still in the low category. A solution is needed that can solve this problem. Several studies have shown that case-base learning successfully improves students' problem solving abilities. Meanwhile, the science, technology and society approach has succeeded in increasing students' technology literacy. This study aims to find the effect of combining models with these approaches on physics learning on problem solving skills and technological literacy of vocational school students. The semi-experimental research method was conducted to obtain data regarding the improvement of students' problem solving skills and literacy. The control class is treated in the form of a case-based learning model. While the experimental class was treated in the form of case-based learning with the approach of science, technology and society. The results showed that the average improvement in problem solving abilities of students in the control class was in the medium category of 0.6 and students who followed CBL learning with the STS approach were 0.69. While the average increase in technology literacy students who take CBL learning are in the low category of 0.29 and students who follow CBL learning with the STS approach are in the high category of 0.74. The results of the analysis and hypothesis testing concluded that although there were no significant differences between the average improvement of problem solving skills in control and experimental classes, CBL learning with the STS approach could significantly improve technology literacy compared to CBL learning.
