Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan teori kecerdasan majemuk dalam buku teks fisika untuk SMP. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah buku teks bse (buku teks elektronik) mata pelajaran IPA (pokok bahasan fisika) dengan jumlah enam buku, yaitu buku IPA kelas VII Semester 1 dan 2, buku IPA kelas VIII Semester 1 dan 2, serta buku IPA kelas IX Semester 1 dan 2. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis buku menggunakan instrumen berupa daftar checklist yang telah dikembangkan oleh Seyyed Ayatollah Razmoo dan Zahra Jozaghi (2010). Daftar checklist tersebut mengacu pada delapan tipe kecerdasan majemuk yang dicetuskan oleh Howard Gardner (1999). Delapan tipe kecerdasan majemuk tersebut dirinci dalam beberapa aktivitas yang berkaitan dengan masing-masing tipe. Hasil dari analisis data menunjukkan bahwa buku IPA (pokok bahasan fisika) untuk SMP/MTs belum mengakomodasi seluruh kecerdasan Gardner, dikarenakan cenderung lebih fokus terhadap kecerdasan logika yang menekankan pada eksperimen, mengumpulkan data, berpikir, dan perhitungan. Kata Kunci : Kecerdasan Majemuk, Anaslisis Buku, Buku Teks The purpose of this research is to have a knowledge about the representation of multiple intelligence type in physics textbook for Junior High School. The data source of this research is BSE Science (physics subject matters) textbook which is adopted from 6 books, such as book for VII grade level 1 and 2, book for VIII grade level 1 and 2, and book for IX grade level 1 and 2. This research is using qualitative descriptive method through analysing textbook by checklist system instrument which had developed by Seyyed Ayatollah Razmoo and Zahra Jozaghi (2010). This checklist system refers to 8 multiple intelligence types by Howard Gardner (1999). These 8 multiple intelligence types would be specified in several activities which has relatedness with each type. The data analysis result shows that physics subject of Science in BSE textbook for Junior High School is being more centred around logical intelligence which is intended on experiment, collecting data, logical thunking, and number calculation. Therefore, it can be concluded that the book has not accommodated the entire intelligence. Keywords : Multiple Intelligences, Analysis of textbook, Textbook
