Abstract

ABSTRAK Fahmi Abdul Azis (1506833). Program Studi D3 Teknik Mesin, Departemen Pendidikan Teknik Mesin, Fakultas Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. ANALISIS SISTEM SUSPENSI BELAKANG PADA RANCANG BANGUN KENDARAAN OFF ROAD TOYOTA HARTOP FJ40 Secara umum praktik Tugas Akhir ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kembali kondisi kendaraan seperti semula dengan melakukan restorasi unit kendaraan off road Toyota FJ40. Tujuan utama dari Tugas Akhir ini adalah menganalisa sistem suspensi belakang pada kendaraan agar dapat mengetahui kelayakan sistem suspensi. Sistem suspensi belakang tipe pegas daun paralel dinilai lebih sederhana dan banyak digunakan kendaraan komersil . Metode analisa yang dipakai dalam analisa ini adalah studi kasus. Maka tujuan penggunaan metode studi kasus ini untuk melaksanakan penelitian langsung dan melalui pengamatan pada kendaraan yang dianalisis. Adapun hasil dari proses analisa serta praktik dalam penyelesaian Tugas Akhir ini diketahui bahwa, kondisi pegas daun sudah berkarat dan shock absorber tidak berfungsi, maka dilakukanlah perbaikan dengan proses pembersihan, pemeriksaan dan penggantian komponen terlebih dahulu. Serta didapatkan pula data hasil perhitungan beban statis pada roda belakang, titik berat kendaraan, tegangan lentur yang terjadi pada pegas daun, dan faktor keamanan pegas daun. ANALYSIS OF REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEMS ON VEHICLE DESIGN OFF ROAD TOYOTA HARTOP FJ40 . In general, this Final Project practice was carried out to improve the condition of the vehicle as before by restoring Toyota FJ40 off road vehicles. The main objective of this Final Project is to analyze the rear suspension system in the vehicle in order to determine the feasibility of the suspension system. Parallel leaf spring type rear suspension systems are considered to be simpler and more widely used commercial vehicles. The analytical method used in this analysis is a case study. So the purpose of using this case study method is to carry out direct research and through observations on the vehicles analyzed. As for the results of the analysis process and practice in completing this Final Project it is known that, the condition of leaf springs is rusty and the shock absorber does not work, then repairs are carried out with the process of cleaning, checking and replacing the components first. And also obtained data on the calculation of static loads on the rear wheels, vehicle weight points, bending stresses that occur in leaf springs, and leaf spring safety factors.
