Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh remaja yang sering meluapkan emosi dengan cara menggerutu, mengkritik secara langsung bahkan meledakan emosinya tanpa mengetahui situasi dan lingkungan sekitar, sehingga dibutuhkan stabilitas emosi dengan berbagai pengendalian emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan secara umum kecenderungan stabilitas emosi peserta didik IPA dan peserta didik IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Garut Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018, menggambarkan secara umum kecenderungan setiap dimensi stabilitas emosi pada peserta didik IPA dan peserta didik IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Garut Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 serta merumuskan implikasi layanan bimbingan dan konseling terkait dengan stabilitas emosi peserta didik IPA dan peserta didik IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Garut Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling kepada peserta didik IPA kelas X-XII sebanyak 300 orang, dan sampling total kepada seluruh peserta didik IPS dari kelas X-XII. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan statistik deskriptif, dan pengolahan data menggunakan model Rasch pada aplikasi Winstep. Hasil penelitian menyatakan, stabilitas emosi peserta didik IPA dan peserta didik IPS berada pada kategori sedang, begitu pula setiap dimensi yang meendukung stabilitas emosi. Layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian berupa bimbingan klasikal dengan sasaran peserta didik IPA dan IPS yang memiliki stabilitas emosi tinggi dan sedang, sementara bimbingan kelompok untuk peserta didik IPA dan IPS yang memiliki stabilitas emosi cenderung rendah. ---- This research is motivated by teenagers who often excite emotions by grumbling, criticizing directly and even blowing his emotions without knowing the situation and the environment, so it takes emotional stability with a variety of emotional control. This study aims to describe in general the tendency of emotional stability of IPA and IPS students in SMA Negeri 1 Garut Academic Year 2017/2018, and to describe in general the tendency of each dimension of emotional stability of IPA and IPS students in SMA Negeri 1 Garut Academic Year 2017/2018 and formulate the implications of guidance and counseling services related to the emotional stability of students IPA and IPS students in SMA Negeri 1 Garut Academic Year 2017/2018. The research used a quantitative approach with descriptive research design. The sample that used is simple random sampling to 300 people of IPA students class X-XII, and total sampling to all IPS students from class X-XII. Data analysis that used is descriptive statistics, and data processing using Rasch model on Winstep application. The results stated that the emotional stability of IPA and IPS students is in the medium category, as well as every dimension that influences emotional stability. Guidance and counseling services that can be used in research in the form of classical guidance with subjects IPA and IPS students who have high and moderate emotional stability, while group guidance for IPA and IPS students who have low emotional stability.
