Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan industri batik dalam kurun waktu 5 tahun antara tahun 2011 -2015 di kota Pekalongan yang dilihat dari modal kerja, biaya bahan baku, volume produksi, jumlah tenaga kerja dan laba pada industri kerajinan batik di kota Pekalongan dengan berdasarkan pada karakteristik responden dalam hal ini pengusaha batik yaitu diantaranya lama usaha, latar belakang pendidikan pengusaha, jenis kelamin pengusaha dan usia pengusaha. Pendekatan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara dengan responden dengan menggunakan kuisioner. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan melihat indikator perkembangan industri batik berdasarkan karakteristik responden tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa 1) perkembangan jumlah modal pada periode 2011-2015 mengalami peningkatan rata-rata sebesar 10,32% per tahun dengan jumlah modal tertinggi sebesar Rp 872 juta rupiah per tahunnya 2) perkembangan jumlah volume produksi naik rata-rata 13,20% per tahunnya dalam kurun waktu 5 tahun terakhir 3) Jumlah tenga kerja mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya yaitu sekitar 6,8% 4) jumlah Laba naik rata-rata 12,30% per tahunnya dengan jumlah laba terbesar yaitu sebesar Rp 332 juta per tahunnya.---- This study aims to determine the development of batik industry within the period of 5 years between 2011-2015 in the city of Pekalongan seen from working capital, raw material costs, production volume, the amount of labor and profits in the batik industry in the city of Pekalongan based on the characteristics respondents in this case batik entrepreneurs such as the length of business, entrepreneurship education background, the gender of entrepreneurs and the age of employers. The approach taken in this research is descriptive qualitative. Technique of collecting data through interview with respondent by using questionnaire. The collected data is then analyzed by looking at the indicators of batik industry development based on the characteristics of the respondents. Based on the result of the research, it is found that 1) the development of the amount of capital in the period of 2011-2015 has an average increase of 10.32% per year with the highest amount of capital of Rp 872 million per year 2) the development of the total production volume increased by an average of 13 , 20% per annum within the last 5 years 3) The number of work tenga increased every year by about 6.8% 4) the average profit increase of 12.30% per year with the largest profit amount of Rp 332 million per year
