Abstract

Keanekaragaman jenis bunga merupakan salah satu daya tarik yang dimiliki oleh
tanaman karena bunga menjadi sebuah identitas khas yang dimiliki sebuah
tanaman. Daya tarik bunga akan terasa ketika dijadikan tanaman hias nyata
maupun tanaman hias berupa gambar. Salah satu keanekaragaman yang dimiliki
Indonesia yaitu bunga anggrek. Sangat disayangkan jika jenis-jenis bunga anggrek
tidak dilestarikan ataupun tidak dibudidayakan. Permasalahan tersebut menjadi
rumusan untuk mengangkat bunga anggrek untuk dijadikan karya seni grafis
screen printing. Pengembangan karakter bunga anggrek yang mengandung
keindahan pada mahkota, warna, tekstur unik, corak dan proses pembuatan dalam
karya seni grafis merupakan rumusan masalah dalam skripsi penciptaan ini, agar
penulis mampu mengekspresikan karakter bunga anggrek sebagai ide kedalam
karya grafis dengan objek bunga anggrek menggunakan teknik tusche dan teknik
blockout. Terdapat enam karya dengan objek bunga anggrek dengan berbagai
macam jenis seperti anggrek bulan, anggrek merpati, Dendrobium burana jade,
Dendrobium shulleri j.j Smith, Dendrobium Phalaenopsis. Dibuat dengan ukuran
yang berbeda-beda, awal proses pembuatan sketsa manual, pewarnaan dengan oil
pastel, lalu dipindahkan pada screen sebagai tahap awal untuk mencetak, setelah
pemindahan sketsa pada screen dengan oil pastel atau dermatograph lalu tutup
menggunakan lem ini untuk teknik tusche, selain teknik tusche cara selanjutnya
jika menggunakan teknik blockout setelah memindahkan sketsa pada screen
menggunakan pensil lalu tutup bagian yang tidak terlewati tinta cetak dengan lem
tunggu sampai mengering. Untuk teknik tusche lem yang sudah mengering lalu
hapus jejak oil pastel atau dermatograph menggunakan minyak tanah setelah
terhapus jejak oil pastel atau dermatograph mulai lah proses mencetak. Sebagian
besar hasil visual dari karya ini menghasilkan berbagai rekam jejak tekstur dan
sebagian halus tanpa tekstur selain itu warna yang tegas, corak pada kelopak yang
ditonjolkan pada karya ini. Diharapkan skripsi penciptaan ini dapat menambah
ragam ide atau gagasan dalam berkarya. Semoga informasi yang disajikan dapat
menambah wawasan dan bermanfaat bagi kalangan pendidikan khusus nya Seni
Rupa dan masyarakat umum.----------Flower types diversity is one of the plants attractions, because flowers become a
distinctive identity possessed by a plant.Flower attraction will be felt when used
as real ornamental plants as well as graphic artwork of ornamental plants. One
offlower types diversity which owned by Indonesia is orchid flower diversity. It is
unfortunate if orchid flower types not sustained or not cultivated. These problems
become a formula that raise orchid flower into screen printing graphic artwork.
Orchid floral characters development that contains beauty in petals, colors,
unique textures, patterns, and the process of making graphic artwork is the
problem formulation in this creation script, aiming that author able to express
orchid floral characteristics as an idea into graphic artwork with orchid flower
object using tusche technique and blackout technique. There are six graphic
artworks with orchid flowers as object including various type of orchid flowers
such as moon orchid, pigeon orchid, Dendrobiumburana jade,
Dendrobiumshullerij.j Smith, Dendrobiumphalaenopsis. Made in different
sizes,started with manual sketching process, oil pastel coloring process, then
moving into screen as an initial process for screen printing, after moving sketch
into screen with oil pastel or dermatograph then cover it with water based glue
for tusche technique screen printing, beside tusche technique the next process if
using blackout technique after moving sketch into printing screen using pencil
then cover screen parts that print ink will not pass with glue and wait until dry.
After the glue dried away on tusche technique then remove oil pastel trace or
clean dermatograph with kerosene. After oil pastel trace or dermatograph
removed then the screen printing process started. Most of the visual result inthis
artwork resulting various texture tracks and some fine result without texture.
Beside of firm colors, pattern on petals are highlighted in this artwork. Hopefully
this creation script can enhance various ideas or opinion for creating artworks.
Hopefully the information presented here can enhance our knowledge and useful
for the education community, especially for fine art community and public.
