Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah kemampuan membaca permulaan perserta didik tunanetra setelah diberikan teknik mangold dan seberapa besar pengaruh Teknik Mangold terhadap peningkatan membaca permulaan anak tunanetra siswa kelas II di SDLBN-A Citeureup Kota Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Single Subject Research (SSR),terdapat tiga fase dalam pengumpulan data, pertama adalah baseline-1 (A-1), kedua adalah Intervensi (B), dan ketiga adalah baseline-2 (A-2). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknik Mangold berpengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan Braille perserta didik tunanetra kelas II di SLB Negeri A Citeureup Kota Cimahi. Pengaruh positif tersebut terlihat dari meningkatnya mean level pada setiap fasenya, mulai dari fase baseline-1 (A-1) mendapatkan mean level sebesar 41,48%,artinya perserta didik bisa membaca permulaan braille menggunakan teknik mangold dengan benar, fase intervensi (B) mendapatkan mean level sebesar 69,52%,artinya perserta didik bisa membaca permulaan braille menggunakan teknik mangold dengan benar, dan fase baseline-2 (A-2) mendapatkan mean level sebesar 78,51%,artinya perserta didik bisa membaca permulaan braille menggunakan teknik mangold.Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan Barille dengan menggunakan teknik Mangold pada perserta didik tunanetra berinisial G kelas II di SLB Negeri A Citeureup Kota Cimahi. Jadi keseluruhan setelah diberikan teknik mangold perserta didik dapat membaca permulaan braille dengan baik.Adapun rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan braille kepada perserta didik tunanetra hendaknya menyiapkan tenaga ahli yang mahir menggunakan teknik Mangold,dan untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan atau memfokuskan peneliti sehingga bermanfaat dari penelitian ini akan terus berlangsung. ;---This research aim to determine early reading braille ability of student with visual impairment after treatment of mangold technique was given and how much the impact of mangold technique to improve early reading braille ability of student with visual impairment class II in SDLBN-A Citeureup Cimahi. This research method applied experiment method with Single Subject Research (SSR) approach, it has three phases in collecting data, first phase is baseline-1 (A-1), second phase is intervention (B), and the third phase is baseline-2 (A-2). The result of research shows that the mangold technique has a positive impact in improving early reading braille ability of student with visual impairment class II in SDLBN-A Citeureup Cimahi. The positive impact seen from the increasing of mean level of each phase, starting from the baseline-1 phase (A-1) got the mean level of 41.48%, it means that the student are able to read early braille use mangold technique correctly, intervention phase (B) got the mean level of 69,52%, it means that the student are able to read early braille use mangold technique correctly, and baseline-2 phase (A-2) got the mean level of 78,51%, it means that the student are able to read early braille use mangold technique correctly. There is the increasing of early reading braille ability with mangold technique of student with visual impairment initials G class II in SLBN-A Citeureup Cimahi. So, overall the student are able to read early braille correctly after the treatment of mangold technique was given. The recommendations to improve the early reading braille ability is it should prepare experts of mangold technique, and for the next research can develop or focus the researcher so that the usefulness of this research will keep sustaining.
