Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran perbaikan model mental siswa SMA pada konsep momentum dan impuls sebagai efek penerapan pembelajaran konseptual interaktif berbantuan mutimedia visual. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-experiment dengan desain one shot post-test only. Subyek penelitian adalah 25 siswa pada salah satu SMA di kota Bandung yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpul data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes pemahaman konsep impuls dan momentum berbentuk uraian terbuka yang mencakup empat aspek pertanyaan, yaitu: a) pertanyaan penjelasan fenomena, b) pertanyaan identifikasi konsep/hukum/prinsip yang digunakan dalam penjelasan fenomena, c) pertanyaan mencontohkan fenomena lain yang berlandaskan konsep/hukum/prinsip yang sama dan d) pertanyaan tentang makna fisis dari konsep/hukum/prinsip yang digunakan pada penjelasan fenomena. Analisis data hasil penelitian adalah analisis model mental yang dimiliki siswa berdasarkan level pemahaman konsep yang didapatkan. Hasil analisis data menunjukan terjadi pencapaian jumlah siswa yang memiliki model mental scientific (ilmiah) setelah siswa mendapatkan pembelajaran konseptual interaktif berbantuan multimedia visual yaitu berada pada rentang 50%-70%, dan dikategorikan sedang(moderate). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran konseptual interaktif berbantuan multimedia visual dapat memperbaiki model mental siswa SMA terkait konsep momentum dan impuls.---- This study aims to obtain a description of the improvement of mental models of high school students on the concept of momentum and impulse as the effect of the implementation of Interactive Conceptual Instruction (ICI) assisted visual multimedia. This research is a pre-experiment research with one-shot post-test only design. The subjects of the study were 25 students in one of high school in Bandung selected purposively sampling. The data collecting instrument used in this research is a comprehension test of the concept of impulse and momentum in the form of an open description covering four aspects of the question: a) the phenomenon explanation question, b) concept / legal / principle identification question used in phenomenon explanation, c) question exemplify other phenomena based on the same concepts /principles and d) questions about the physical meaning of the concepts / laws / principles used in the explanation of phenomena. Data analysis of the research results is the analysis of mental models owned by students based on the level of understanding of the concept obtained. The result of data analysis shows the achievement of the number of students who have a scientific) mental model after the students get interactive conceptual learning with visual multimedia assistance that is in the range of 50% -70%, and categorized moderate. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of Interactive Conceptual Instruction assisted visual multimedia can improve the mental model of high school students related to the concept of momentum and impulse.
