Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi banyaknya siswa yang malas mengikuti pembelajaran di dalam kelas bahkan sering tidak mengikuti pembelajaran apalagi kalau mata pelajarannya kurang disukai atau gurunya dianggap tidak menyenangkan. Penelitian akan mengungkap aspek-aspek penyebab kurangnya motivasi belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Panjalu Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui profil motivasi belajar siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Panjalu Tahun Pelajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan tujuan memperoleh gambaran faktual tentang keadaan subjek penelitian di lapangan tanpa melalui uji statistik dengan sampel sebanyak tiga orang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode studi kasus dengan tujuan mengungkap berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi pada siswa. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam kepada siswa, kepada orang tua dan kepada guru mata pelajaran. Berdasarkan penelitian terhadap tiga orang siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Panjalu , ditemukan bahwa ketiga orang siswa tersebut menunjukkan kecenderungan motivasi belajarnya berada pada kategori rendah berdasarkan delapan indikator motivasi belajar yang digunakan . ---- This research is based on the number of students who are lazy to follow the lesson especially if the subjects are less liked or the teacher is considered unpleasant. The research will reveal the causes of the lack of student learning motivation in SMPN 1 Panjalu academic year 2017/2018. The purpose of research is to find out the motivation profile of students learning grade IX SMPN 1 Panjalu academic year 2017/2018. This research uses a qualitative approach with theaim of obtaining a factual picture of the state of research subjects in the field without going through statistical test with the example of three students. The method used is case study method with the aim of revealing various problems that occur in students. Data obtaine through observation and in-depth interviews to student, parents and subject teacher. Based on study of three students at SMPN 1 Panjalu Found that they showed the tendency of learning motivation to be in the low category based on the eight indicators of learning motivation used.
