Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) yang merupakan sebuah model pembelajaran kooperatif yang dikembangkan oleh DE Vries dan Edward (Slavin, 2010). Model pembelajaran ini mempunyai ciri khas turnamen atau permainan akademik di dalamnya yang bertujuan untuk merangsang rasa ingin belajar siswa karena terdapat hadiah di dalamnya. Proses pembelajaran berlangsung secara berkelompok yang terdiri dari 5-6 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) implementasi model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran membaca Bahasa Perancis, (2) perbedaan kemapuan membaca siswa sebelum dan sesudah diimplementasikannya model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournaments (TGT), (3) tanggapan siswa-siswi SMK N 9 Bandung kelas X Usaha Perjalanan Wisata mengenai mengenai implementasi model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca bahasa Perancis. Dalam pelaksanaannya, metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pre-experimental dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu (1) studi pustaka, (2) tes, (3) angket, dan (4) observasi. Sampel dan populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SMK N 9 Bandung kelas X Usaha Perjalanan Wisata tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Mengacu pada hasil penelitian, peneliti mendapatkan hasil rata-rata prates sebesar 81,77 dan hasil rata-rata pascates sebesar 90,88 serta mengalami peningkatan sebsar 9,11 poin. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hasil membaca responden mengalami kenaikan setelah digunakannya model Teams Games Tournament (TGT). ---- Teams Games Tournament models is a cooperative learning model invented by David DE Vries and keith Edward in John Hopkins New York University. This model has a distinctive tournament or academic games that aim to stimulate students’ desires to learn since there will be a gift afterward. This research aims to describe: (1) implementation of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Model in French reading learning process. (2) The difference in students’ learning skill before and after the implementation of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Model, (3) SMKN 9 Bandung Students’ opinion regarding the implementation of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Model in French reading learning process. In the process of this research, we used the pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques used for this research are (1) literature study, (2) test, (3), questionnaire, and (4) observation. The sample and population used in this research is Xth students of Usaha Perjalanan Wisata in SMKN 9 Bandung of 2017/2018. Referring to the result of this research, the average gained of pretest is 81.77 and that of posttest is 90.88, we can say that it increases 8.97 points. It shows that the result increases after the teams Games Tournament (TGT) was implemented.
