Abstract
Pada perangkat pengendali Air Conditioner yang bernama ALDEBARAN (Air Control Device Based on Internet of Things), protokol HTTP telah diterapkan sebagai protokol untuk berkomunikasi dengan IoT ANTARES platform (Internet of Things Application and Technology Platform as your Reliable Solution). Konektivitas diperlukan untuk membangun sebuah komunikasi antara perangkat dengan server. ALDEBARAN dilengkapi sumber tegangan berupa 1 cell baterai lithium ion 2600 mAh. ALDEBARAN menggunakan konektivitas Wi-Fi yang mengirim data secara kontinu dan juga HTTP memiliki protokol overhead yang tinggi mengakibatkan terjadi pemborosan konsumsi daya. Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah melakukan optimalisasi komunikasi data pada perangkat ALDEBARAN agar tercipta komunikasi data yang efisien dan hemat daya. Penghematan daya dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan komunikasi data apabila ALDEBARAN difungsikan sebagai pemantau suhu atau kelembaban pada remote area yang tidak terjangkau listrik. Metode yang digunakan adalah menerapkan protokol MQTT yang dikombinasikan dengan algoritma transmisi data kontinu, periodik dan adaptif. Parameter yang didapat seperti waktu siklus sistem dan konsumsi arus nilainya dikalkulasi sehingga mendapatkan latency, overhead, throughput, data transmission power, dan battery life. Hasil kalkulasi dibandingkan kemudian dianalisis untuk mendapatkan kombinasi algoritma yang paling optimal. Melalui penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa menerapkan protokol MQTT dan adaptive data transmit algorithm pada perangkat ALDEBARAN maupun perangkat lainnya, dapat mengoptimalkan komunikasi data dengan server ANTARES.---- On Air Conditioner controller device named ALDEBARAN (Air Control Device Based on Internet of Things), HTTP protocol has been implemented as a protocol to communicate with the IoT ANTARES platform (Internet of Things Application and Technology Platform as your Reliable Solution). Connectivity is required to establish a communication between the device and the server. In ALDEBARAN include 1-cell 2600 mAh lithium ion battery as a voltage source. ALDEBARAN using Wi-Fi connectivity which send data continuously and also HTTP has a high overhead protocol resulted in wasteful power consumption. The focus of this research is to optimize data communication on the ALDEBARAN device in order to create an efficient data communication and power saving. Power savings are made to optimize data communications when ALDEBARAN is enabled as a temperature or humidity monitor in a remote area not covered by electricity. The method used is to apply MQTT protocol combined with continuous, periodic and adaptive data transmit algorithms. Parameters such as system cycle time and current consumption values are calculated to obtain latency, overhead, throughput, data transmission power, and battery life. The calculation results compared and analyzed to obtain the most optimal combination algorithm. Through this research it can be concluded that the application of MQTT protocol and adaptive data transmit algorithm on ALDEBARAN device or other device, can optimize data communication with ANTARES server.
