Abstract

Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Jawa Barat tahun 2003 melakukan sensus pertanian terhadap perubahan pemanfaatan lahan yang terjadi selama kurun waktu 2000–2002. Hasil tersebut tampak bahwa secara total seluas 13.142 hektare/tahun lahan di Jawa Barat mengalami perubahan pemanfaatan. Perubahan pemanfaatan lahan paling luas terjadi pada lahan sawah yaitu seluas 8.141 hektare/tahun atau sekitar 62% dari total lahan yang mengalami perubahan pemanfaatan. Salah satu kabupaten di Jawa Barat yang banyak mengalami alih fungsi lahan pertanian sawah adalah Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang mana pada tahun 2015 mencapai 8.768,22 Ha. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi wilayah yang berpotensi untuk di kembangkan menjadi lahan pertanian sawah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dengan alat berupa Argcis. SIG sebagai metode penelitian mempunyai kemampuan yang dapat digunakan sebagai cara ilmiah untuk mencari, mencatat, merumuskan, menganalisis hingga menyusun laporan. Lahan yang dapat dikembangkan menjadi lahan pertanian sawah di Kabupaten Bandung Barat didapat dari hasil overlay peta-peta parameter. Kesesuaian lahan pertanian sawah dibedakan menjadi tiga kelas diantaranya kelas kesesuaian tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Kelas kesesuaian tinggi terdapat sebagian besar di Kecamatan Cikalong Wetan. Kecamatan lain yang juga termasuk kelas kesesuaian tinggi diantaranya Kecamatan Cipeundeuy, Cipatat, Saguling, Batujajar. Kelas kesesuaian sedang terdapat sebagian besar di Kecamatan Gununghalu, Rongga, Lembang, Ngamprah dan Cihampelas. Kelas kesesuaian rendah terdapat di Kecamatan Cipatat, Rongga, Sindangkerta, Cililin, Cipeundeuy, Parongpong. Perlu adanya penelitian lebih lanjut dan mendalam dengan menggunakan data terbaru sehingga penentuan wilayah lahan pertanian sawah di kabupaten Bandung Barat akan lebih rinci lagi.---- Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of West Java in 2003 conducted an agricultural census about functional shift of land that occurred during the period of 2000-2002. The results showed that from the total of 13,142 hectares / year of land in West Java experienced a functional shift of land. The widest functional shift of land occurred in the paddy field area which was around 8,141 hectares / year or about 62% of the total land that experienced a functional shift. One of the regencies in West Java that experienced a lot of functional shifts of paddy field areas was West Bandung Regency which reached 8,768.22 Ha in 2015. The purpose of this research was to identify areas that have potentials to be developed into paddy field areas in West Bandung regency. This research used a Geographic Information System (GIS) method with using Argcis tool. As a research method, GIS has an ability that can be used as a scientific way to search, record, formulate, analyze and prepare reports. Land that can be developed into agricultural paddy field areas in West Bandung Regency were obtained from the results of parameters overlay maps. The suitability of paddy field areas were divided into three classes including high, medium, and low suitability classes. The high suitability class was found mostly in Cikalong Wetan Sub-district. Other sub-districts that were also considered as a high suitability class were Cipeundeuy, Cipatat, Saguling, Batujajar. Moreover, the medium suitability class mostly located in Gununghalu, Rongga, Lembang, Ngamprah and Cihampelas Sub-district. Lastly, the low suitability class was found in Cipatat, Rongga, Sindangkerta, Cililin, Cipeundeuy, and Parongpong Sub-district. Based on the results above, it can be said that a further and in depth research using the latest data is necessary, so that the determination of paddy field areas in West Bandung Regency becomes more detail.
