Abstract

Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) merupakan salahsatu pendidikan kejuruan, setiap peserta didiknya lebih disiapkan untuk menjadi tenaga kerja ahli yang profesional dalam menghadapi dunia kerja atau dunia industri. Dalam pendidikan SMK terdapat program Praktik Industri atau Praktik Kerja Industri, program tersebut bermaksud untuk mengasah kemampuan serta memberikan pengalaman praktis terhadap peserta didik suapaya lebih siap kerja serta menjadi tenaga ahli yang professional sesuai bidang kejuruan yang ditekuninya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan angket, sebagai salahsatu instrumen yang digunakan guna memperoleh data dari peserta didik Teknik Otomasi Industri SMKN 1 Cimahi yang diteliti. Instrumen atau angket yang digunakan dalam penelitian terdiri dari dua variabel yang berbeda, (1) Variabel mengenai pengaruh praktik kerja industri, terhadap peserta didik Teknik Otomasi Industri, (2) Variabel mengenai kesiapan kerja, dimana keseluruhan dari jumlah butir soal yang diberikan terhadap peserta didik Teknik Otomasi Industri adalah sebanyak 38 soal. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, mayoritas dari peserta didik yang berjumlah 35 orang, menyatakan bahwa, praktik industri memberikan kesempatan terhadap peserta didik untuk mengembangkan ilmu yang dimiliki serta mengasah kemampuanya, guna menjadi tenaga ahli yang pofesional sesuai bidang yang ditekuni. Sehubungan dengan pernyataan tersebut, peserta didik yang berjumlah 35 orang, menyatakan bahwa dengan berbekal pengalaman selama berada dilingkungan indsutri, serta keterampilan yang dimiliki, peserta didik Teknik Otomasi Industri memiliki keinginan untuk melanjutkan karirnya dengan terjun langsung ke dunia industri atau dunia kerja, guna memperbaiki kualitas hidup serta perekonomian bagi diri dan keluarganya sendiri. Sehubungan dengan hasil yang telah disampaikan, adanya hubungan yang sangat kuat antara variabel praktik kerja industri terhadap kesiapan kerja peserta didik Teknik Otomasi Industri, dimana sebesar 72% yang dipengaruhi oleh praktik kerja industri dan sebesar 28% dipengaruhi oleh varibel lain, yang tidak diteliti atau tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini.---Vocational High School (SMK) is one of vocational education, each student is better prepared to be a professional workforce professionals in the face of the world of work or industrial world. Vocational High School (SMK) education, has advantages compared to secondary schools in general, in vocational education there is a program called the Industrial Practice or Industrial Practice program, the program intends to hone skills and provide practical experience to learners to be more prepared as well as being a professional expert in the field of vocational training. The research method used is quantitative method, data collection technique used is by using questionnaire, as one of the instruments used to obtain data from students of Industrial Automation Techniques SMKN 1 Cimahi studied. The instrument or questionnaire used in the study consists of two different variables, (1) Variable on the influence of industrial work practices, to the students of Industrial Automation Technique, (2) Variables on the readiness of work, in which the total of the number of items given to the learners Industrial Automation Technique is 38 problem. Based on the research that has been done, the majority of the students who numbered 35 people, stated that, industry practice provides opportunities for learners to develop the knowledge they possess and hone skills, in order to become professional experts according to the field of occupied. In relation to the statement, the 35 students, stated that with experience in the industry, and the skills they have, the students of Industrial Automation Technique have a desire to continue their career by jumping directly into the world of industry or work world, to improve the quality life and economy for themselves and their families. In relation to the results that have been submitted, there is a very strong correlation between the variables of industrial work practices to the readiness of the students of Industrial Automation Engineering, of which 72% is influenced by industrial work practices and 28% is influenced by other variables, not examined or not included in this study.
