Abstract

Membaca adalah salah satu sarana bagi setiap orang untuk menambah wawasan. Untuk menumbuhkan kegemaran membaca berbagai macam upaya dilaksanakan guna menjadikan membaca sebagai suatu kebutuhan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pelaksanaan program Sunday Class yang dilaksanakan oleh TBM Rita Home Library dalam menumbuhkan minat baca pemustaka. Kajian dalam penelitian ini difokuskan pada indikator Knowledge Donating dan Knowledge Collecting yang terdapat pada program Sunday Class. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara program Sunday Class dengan kegemaran membaca pemustaka TBM Rita Home Library. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi deskriptif dengan pedekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah anggota warga belajar TBM Rita Home Library yang pernah mengikuti program Sunday Class dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 59 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 37 orang yang ditentukan melalui Incidental Sampling. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket dengan menggunakan skala guttman yang di analisis dengan uji korelasi yang dibantu IBM SPSS 24. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa program Sunday Class memiliki hubungan dengan kegemaran membaca pemustaka TBM Rita Home Library walaupun dengan tingkat kekuatan cukup. Hasil indikator Knowledge Donating dan Knowledge Collecting pada program Sunday Class menunjukan hasil yang cukup. Reading is one means for everyone to add insight. To foster a hobby of reading various kinds of efforts carried out to make reading as a necessity. The background of this research is by the implementation of the Sunday Class program carried out by the TBM Rita Home Library in fostering interest in reading. The study in this study focused on Knowledge Donating and Knowledge Collecting indicators found in the Sunday Class program. The purpose of this research is to find the correlation of the Sunday Class program and reading interest of TBM Rita Home Library users. The research method used is descriptive study with quantitative approach. The population of this study were members of the TBM Rita Home Library learning community who had attended the Sunday Class program with a population of 59 people with a sample of 37 people determined through incidental sampling. The research instrument used was a questionnaire using the Guttman scale which was analyzed by a correlation test that was assisted by IBM SPSS 24. The results of this study showed that the Sunday Class program was correlate with the reading interest TBM Rita Home Library users even with sufficient strength. the results of Knowledge Donating and Knowledge Collecting indicators on the Sunday Class program show sufficient results.
