Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan kebahagiaan siswa berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia dan jenjang kelas serta mengidentifikasi sumber kebahagiaan pada siswa sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method convergent parallel. Partisipan berjumlah 332 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling sederhana, dengan rincian 112 siswa kelas 10, 108 siswa kelas 11 dan 112 siswa kelas 12. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuisioner “Happiness in School” untuk mengungkap lima aspek kebahagiaan menurut Selligman yaitu Positive Emotion, Enggagement, Relationship Positive, Meaning of Life dan Accomplishment (PERMA) dan kuisioner terbuka untuk mengungkap sumber dan cara siswa mencapai kebahagiaan selama pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data digunakan adalah uji t, Anova, multiple regression dan koding. Temuan pertama adalah terdapat perbedaan kebahagiaan berdasarkan usia dan aspek yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kebahagiaan siswa adalah aspek keterlibatan. Temuan kedua adalah sumber kebahagiaan siswa berasal dari orang lain di luar diri siswa dan siswa melakukan relasi sosial untuk meningkatkan kebahagiaannya. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan kepada guru dan peneliti selanjutnya. ------This study aimed to identify the differences in students’ happiness based on gender, age and grade and identify the source of happiness in high school students. This research used mixed method convergent parallel. The participants amounted to 332 which selected by simple random sampling technique, with details of 112 students from 10th grade, 108 students from 11th grade and 112 students from 12th grade. The research instrument used "Happiness in School" questionnaires to reveal the five aspects of happiness according to Selligman which is Positive Emotion , Enggagement, Relationship Positive, Meaning of Life and Accomplishment (PERMA) and open questionnaires to reveal the sources and students’ ways to achieve happiness during learning. Data analysis techniques used were t test, Anova, multiple regression and coding. The first finding was the existance of happiness differentiation based on age and the most influental aspects is involvement aspect. The second finding was the source of students’ happiness came from others and they did social relationships to increase their happiness. This study recommendations are addressed to teachers and subsequent researchers.
