Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis dongéng-dongéng Si Kabayan karangan M.O Koesman yang dikaji dari aspek struktural dan etnopedagogik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: 1) dongeng-dongeng Si Kabayan karangan M.O. Koesman, 2) struktur, 3) nilai-nilai etnopedagogik, dan 4) dijadikannya alternatif bahan pembelajaran membaca di SMA. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu adalah metode deskriptif analitik untuk memberi deskripsi dan gambaran struktur serta nilai-nilai etnopedagogik dari dongeng-dongeng Si Kabayan. Tehnik mengumpulkan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut, terlihat bahwa dongéng-dongéng Si Kabayan memiliki tema yang beragam. Tema yang terdapat dalam dongeng-dongeng Si Kabayan umumnya mengenai ajaran moral. Fakta-fakta cerita yang terdapat dalam dongeng-dongeng Si Kabayan yaitu 1) karakter tokoh yang beragam, 2) latar tempat yang umumnya berada di pedesaan, latar waktu yang terjadi pada zaman dahulu, 3) alur yang digunakan adalah alur maju. Sedangkan sarana cerita yang terdapat dalam dongeng-dongeng Si Kabayan yaitu 1) sudut pandang orang ketiga tidak terbatas, 2) gaya dan tone yang sederhana dan ringan. Dari hasil analisis struktural terhadap dongéng-dongéng Si Kabayan karangan M.O. Koesman, terutama tema dan karakter tokoh diangkat karena nilai-nilai moral berdasarkan etnopedagogik yang dijadikan alternatif bahan pembelajaran membaca dongeng di SMA.-----This research analyzed the tales of Si Kabayan by M. O. Koesman, studied from the structural and ethnopedagogic aspects. The purpose of this research is to describe: 1) the tales of Si Kabayan by M. O. Koesman, 2) the structure, 3) the ethnopedagogic values, and 4) the alternative of reading learning materials in senior high school. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic method to give description and structural description and also ethnopedagogic values from the tales of Si Kabayan by M.O Koesman. The technique of collecting data used in this research is documentation study. From the results of this study, it appears that the tales of Si Kabayan by M. O. Koesman has a variety of themes. The theme contained in the tales of Si Kabayan by M. O. Koesman is generally about moral value. The facts of the story contained in the tales of Si Kabayan are 1) the diversity of the characters, 2) the background of places that are generally located in the countryside, the background of time that occurred in ancient times, 3) the plot used is the progressive plot. While the means of the story contained in the tales of Si Kabayan are 1) unlimited third person point of view, 2) style and tone which are simple and light. From the results of structural analysis to the tales of Si Kabayan by M.O. Koesman, the theme and the characters was especially raised because of their ethnopedagogic values will be used as learning materials of reading fairy tales in senior high school.
