Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah maraknya kasus pelanggaran terhadap aturan yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik, sehingga kurangnya makna akan kedisiplinan yang berperan penting untuk diri sendiri dan lingkungan sekitar. Salah satu faktor yang menganggu kedisiplinan adalah kurangnya keharmonisan dalam suatu keluarga. Berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi di SMPN 3 Cimahi terdapat beberapa peserta didik yang masih telat datang ke sekolah, bolos, membawa alat komunikasi (handphone) secara sembunyi-sembunyi, dimana salah aturan yang ketat pada sekolah tersebut adalah tidak diperkenankan membawa handphone, namun masih terdapat peserta didik yang melanggarnya. Tak luput ada beberapa orang tua peserta didik yang menerima ataupun tidak menerima jika anaknya disalahkan atau diberi hukuman dari pihak sekolah. Oleh sebab itu, penlitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran umum kedisiplinan peserta didik dan keharmonisan keluarganya, serta membandingkan tingkat kedisiplinan peserta didik yang berlatar belakang dar keluarga harmonis dengan keluarga disharmonis. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode komparasi. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 458 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui instrumen kedisiplinan dan keharmonisan keluarga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) tingkat kedisiplinan peserta didik berdasarkan keharmonisan keluarga berada pada kategori sedang, (2) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedisiplinan peserta didik yang berlatar belakang dari keluarga harmonis dengan kedisiplinan peserta didik yang berlatar belakang keluarga disharmonis.---The background of this study is the rampant cases of violations of the rules committed by learners, so the lack of meaning to discipline that plays an important role for yourself and the environment. One of the factors that disturb the discipline is the less of harmony in a family. Based on the phenomenon that occurred in SMPN 3 Cimahi there are some students who are still late to come to school, truant, carrying a communication tool (mobile phone) in secret, where one of the strict rules on the school is not allowed to bring mobile phone, but there are still participants students who violate it. Not spared there are some parents of learners who accept or not accept if the child is blamed or punished by the school. Therefore, the aim of this research is to describe the students' self-discipline and family harmony, and to compare the level of discipline of the students with the background of harmonious family with the disharmonic family. This research approach uses quantitative approach with comparative method. The total populations in this study as many as 458 students. Data collection was obtained through family discipline and family harmony instruments. The results showed that (1) the students' discipline level based on family harmony was in the medium category, (2) There was a significant difference between the discipline of the students with the background of the harmonious family and the discipline of the students with the background of the disharmonicfamily.
