Abstract

Salah satu fenomena tindakan destruktif remaja yakni perilaku seks di luar nikah. Salah satu dampak perilaku seks di luar nikah adalah self esteem yang rendah. Self-esteem merupakan konstruk yang berperan dalam menentukan tingkah laku individu, karena berawal dari perasaan tidak mampu dan tidak berharga yang menyebabkan remaja menampilkan berbagai macam perilaku destruktif yang seolah-olah membuat dia lebih berharga, dengan mencari pengakuan dan perhatian dari teman-teman. Penelitian didesain melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisa studi kasus Dasar teori self esteem menggunakan teori Coppersmith yang juga digunakan sebagai dasar instrumen dalam bentuk kuisioner yang didasari teori Guttmann. Tiga partisipan penelitian yang terlibat adalah remaja putri yang pernah melakukan perilaku seksual tidak sehat binaan Yayasan Rumah Tumbuh Harapan Bandung. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini ditempuh tiga tahap penelitian, yakni (1) studi pendahuluan untuk mengungkap kondisi awal tingkat self esteem remaja yang melakukan perilaku seksual tidak sehat; (2) melihat proses konseling naratif untuk meningkatkan self esteem remaja yang melakukan perilaku seksual tidak sehat; (3) pengujian efektivitas penerapan konseling naratif untuk meningkatkan self esteem remaja yang melakukan perilaku seks di luar nikah. Penelitian menemukan bahwa konseling narasi efektif untuk meningkatkan self esteem remaja berperilaku tidak sehat yang memiliki kemampuan kognitif memadai dengan latar belakang kondisi keluarga yang tidak rumit seperti konseli C. Bagi remaja yang memiliki kemampuan kognitif kurang memadai, seperti konseli R dan kondisi latar belakang keluarga yang rumit, seperti konseli S, konseling narasi menunjukkan hasil yang kurang efektif. Rekomendasi bagi konselor dapat menggunakan konseling naratif untuk membantu dengan melakukan assessment kebutuhan terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui tingkat kerumitan, kemampuan kognitif, dan tingkat trauma konseli yang akan ditangani. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan tema penelitian yang serumpun dan mengembangkan program bimbingan dan konseling untuk mencegah perilaku seksual tidak sehat pada remaja.-----One of the phenomenon of adolescent destructive action is extramarital sex behavior. One of the effects of extramarital sex behavior is a low self-esteem. Self-esteem is a construct that plays a role in determining the behavior of individuals, because it begins with feelings of inadequacy and worthless that cause adolescents display a variety of destructive behaviors that seem to make them more valuable, by seeking recognition and attention from friends. Research is designed through qualitative approach with case study method. The basic theory of self-esteem uses the Coppersmith theory which is also used as the basis of the instrument in the form of a questionnaire based on Guttmann's theory. The three study participants involved were female adolescents who done unhealthy sexual behavior and became the clients of Rumah Tumbuh Harapan Bandung Foundation. To achieve this goal, three phases of the study were undertaken, namely (1) preliminary study to uncover the initial condition of adolescent self esteem level that performs unhealthy sexual behavior; (2) see the process of narrative counseling to improve the self esteem of adolescents who engage in unhealthy sexual behavior; (3) testing the effectiveness of the application of narrative counseling to increase the self esteem of teenagers who engage in extramarital sex behavior. The study found that effective narrative counseling to improve adolescent self-esteem behaved unhealthy with adequate cognitive abilities with a background of uncomplicated family conditions such as counselee C. For adolescents with inadequate cognitive abilities, such as counselee R and elaborate family background conditions , such as counselee S, narrative counseling shows less effective results. Recommendations for counselors can use narrative counseling to assist with prior assessment needs to determine the level of complexity, cognitive ability, and level of trauma that the counselee will handle. For further research can develop a cohesive research theme and develop guidance and counseling programs to prevent unhealthy sexual behavior in adolescents..
