Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan kerja sama siswa. Siswa lebih senang dikelompokkan secara homogen berdasarkan jenis kelamin, adanya dominasi dalam mengerjakan tugas, pembagian tugas yang kurang adil dan rendahnya partisipasi siswa dalam berdiskusi. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, peneliti mencoba menerapkan metode Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) untuk meningkatkan kemapuan kerja sama siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode Student Teams-Achievement Divisions untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan peningkatan kemampuan kerja sama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) model Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan, 3) observasi, dan 4) refleksi. Tindakan dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN SKG 7 Bandung yang hadir pada siklus I dan siklus II dengan jumlah 31 siswa. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, lembar observasi kemampuan kerja sama dan catatan lapangan. Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif presentase, sedangkan data kualitatif melalui data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada siklus I kemampuan kerja sama siswa adalah 69,44% dengan kateogri cukup dan meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 85,75% dengan kategori baik. Peningkatan kemampuan kerja sama siswa tersebut sebesar 16,31%. Disimpulkan bahwa metode Student Teams-Achievement Divisions dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kerja sama siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar.;---This research is based on the low ability of student cooperation. Students prefer to be grouped homogeneously based on sex, the dominance in doing the task, the unfair division of labor and the low participation of the students in the discussion. To overcome these problems, researchers try to apply the method of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) to improve students' work skills. This study aims to describe the application of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions method to improve the skills of grade V elementary school students including planning, implementation and improvement of cooperation ability. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) Kemmis and Taggart model consisting of four stages, namely 1) planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, and 4) reflection. Actions are implemented in two cycles. Participants of this research are the students of grade V SDN SKG 7 Bandung who attended in cycle I and cycle II with 31 students. The data collection used in the form of observation sheet of teacher and student activity, collaboration skill observation sheet and field note. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive percentage statistics, while the qualitative data through data reduction, display data, and conclusion. The result of the research shows that in the first cycle students' ability of cooperation is 69,44% with enough category and increasing in cycle II become 85,75% with good category. The increase of students' cooperation ability is 16.31%. It was concluded that the Student Teams-Achievement Divisions method can improve the students' ability to work together in grade V elementary school students.
