Abstract

Ketersediaan bahan ajar dalam pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi merupakan suatu kebutuhan harus dipenuhi. Perguruan Tinggi melalui Program Studi harus berinovasi menyusun sumber belajar sebagai bahan referensi belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan pengayaan bahan ajar biologi air tawar berbasis masalah. Penyusunan bahan ajar menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (four D) yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan (1974), terdiri dari empat tahapan pengembangan yaitu pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan Penyebaran (Disseminate), namun pada penelitian ini hanya dilakukan sampai pada tahap pengembangan (develop) dengan melakukan uji coba produk bahan ajar secara terbatas. Pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil validasi, angket dan pretes-postes. Hasil uji validasi ahli materi sebesar 4,37 (87,5%), ahli media pembelajaran sebesar 4,5 (84%) dan 3,64 (68%) dengan rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 4,17 (79,83%) termasuk dalam kategori Valid. Penilaian bahan ajar oleh mahasiswa sebesar 80,64% dengan kategori valid. Peningkatan hasil belajar aspek penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa diperoleh dengan rata-rata n-gain sebesar 0,64 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahan ajar yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah biologi air tawar.;---The availability of teaching materials in learning in Higher Education is a necessity must be met. Higher Education through Study Program must innovate to compile the source of learning as reference of learning. This study aims to produce enrichment of freshwater biological teaching materials based on problems. Preparation of teaching materials using 4D development model (four D) developed by Thiagarajan (1974), consists of four stages of development that is defining (define), design (design), development and dissemination, but in this study only done until the development stage (develop) by conducting trials of teaching materials products on a limited basis. Data collection uses validation, questionnaire and pretest-postes. Experimental material validation test result was 4.37 (87.5%), learning media experts were 4.5 (84%) and 3.64 (68%) with an overall average of 4.17 (79.83%) included in the Valid category. Assessment of teaching materials by students of 80.64% with valid categories. Improved learning outcomes in terms of conceptual mastery and student problem solving skills were obtained with average n-gain of 0.64 in the medium category. These results show that the developed teaching materials can improve student learning outcomes in freshwater biology courses.
