Abstract

Keterampilan menulis teks ulasan film merupakan materi pelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang wajib dicapai siswa kelas VIII SMP sesuai kurikulum nasional. Keterampilan menulis teks ulasan film sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjawab tantangan zaman dan tuntutan profesi di masa mendatang. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks ulasan film dengan menggunakan model learning cycle 7E. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas eksperimen sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya model learning cycle 7E dalam menulis teks ulasan film di SMPN 46 Bandung; (2) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis siswa kelas kontrol dalam menulis teks ulasan film di SMPN 46 Bandung; (3) Mendeskripsikan perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan siswa menulis teks ulasan film di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII K dan VIII L SMPN 46 Bandung tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata prates kelas eksperimen sebesar 65. Setelah diberikan perlakuan dengan model learning cycle 7E, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks ulasan film meningkat 16 poin dengan nilai rata-rata postes sebesar 81. Sementara, nilai rata-rata prates kelas kontrol sebesar 64, meningkat 9 poin saat postes dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 73. Berdasarkan uji Gain peningkatan kemampuan siswa kelas eksperimen dalam menulis teks ulasan film adalah sedang, sedangkan di kelas kontrol rendah. Dari hasil perhitungan statistik menggunakan software SPSS versi 16, p-value 0,02 < 0,05, artinya menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks ulasan film di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.;---The skill of writing the movie review text is an Indonesian language subject that must be achieved by the students of class VIII junior high school according to the national curriculum. The skill of writing movie review text is needed to answer the challenges of the times and the demands of the profession in the future. This research was conducted to know the ability of students in writing the text of movie reviews using model learning cycle 7E. The purpose of this study are (1) Describe the ability of experimental class students before and after the implementation of model learning cycle 7E in writing the text of movie reviews in SMPN 46 Bandung; (2) Describe the ability to write control class students in writing movie review text at SMPN 46 Bandung; (3) Describe the significant differences in students' ability to write movie review text in the experimental class and control class. The method in this research is quasi experiment with research design nonequivalent control group design. The subjects of this study are students of class VIII K and VIII L SMPN 46 Bandung academic year 2017/2018. The results showed the average value of experimental class experiments by 65. After being given treatment with the learning cycle model 7E, students' ability in writing text of movie reviews increased by 16 points with the average postes value of 81. Meanwhile, the average value of the control class prates of 64, an increase of 9 points during postes with an average score of 73. Based on the Gain test, the ability of the experimental class students to write the movie review text is moderate, while in the control class is low. From the results of statistical calculations using SPSS software version 16, p-value 0.02 <0.05, it means that there is a significant difference between the ability to write movie review text in the experimental class and control class.
