Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya penurunan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Babakan Cirebon dilihat dari nilai rata-rata ujian tengah semester ganjil genap tahun 2016/2017 pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar dengan motivasi belajar sebagai variable intervening. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei eksplanatori. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas X ilmu sosial SMA Negeri 1 Babakan Cirebon sebanyak 115 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis jalur (Path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar siswa sebagian besar berada pada kategori dibawah KKM (kriteria ketuntasan minimal), kompetensi guru berada pada kategori tinggi dan motivasi belajar berada pada kategori sedang; (2) kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (3) kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar setelah dimoderasi motivasi belajar.;---This research is motivated by the decrease of the students' learning outcomes of the X grade of Senior High School State 1 Babakan Cirebon seen from the average score of the even odd semester exam of 2016/2017 on economic subjects. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher competence on learning outcomes with motivation to learn as intervening variables. The research method used is explanatory survey. The population in the study were the students of social science X class of Senior High School State 1 Babakan Cirebon as many as 115 students using saturated sample technique. Data analysis technique used is path analysis. The fundings of this research show that: (1) students' learning outcomes are mostly in categories under the KKM (minimal completeness criteria), teacher competence is in the high category and the learning motivation is in the medium category; (2) teacher competence has a positive and significant effect towards students learning outcomes; (3) teacher competence has a positive and significant effect towards learning outcomes after moderated with learning motivation.
