Abstract
Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi guru ekonomi SMA/MA Negeri di Kota Cimahi. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh nilai Ujian Nasional siswa SMA/MA Negeri di Kota Cimahi yang masih rendah. Sebagai salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi nilai Ujian Nasional tersebut, kompetensi guru memegang peranan penting dalam nilai yang di dapatkan oleh siswanya. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan survei dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data angket. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru ekonomi SMA/MA Negeri di Kota Cimahi adapun subjek penelitian ini adalah kompetensi guru. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Pengolahan data menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan teknik analisis tabulasi silang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kompetensi guru ekonomi SMA/MA Negeri di Kota Cimahi termasuk kategori tinggi pada guru berjenis kelamin perempuan yang berusia 56 – 60 tahun, pendidikan terakhir S1 telah bekerja selama 28 – 33 tahun dengan berstatus pegawai PNS serta bersertifikasi dibidang ekonomi sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru ekonomi SMA/MA Negeri di Kota Cimahi telah mempunyai kompetensi guru yang memadai.;--- This research is motivated by national exam value of SMA/MA students in Cimahi city Which still low. As one of factor that effect national exam value, teacher competence plays an important role in the value obtained by the students, so that the aims of this research is to know the general description of teacher competence in SMA/MA Cimahi City. Based of some aspects and factors that can effect teacher competence. The method of this research is descriptive use survey as collecting data. Data processing with statistic description and cross tabs analysis. Object of this research is economy teacher of SMA/MA in Cimahi City and the subject is teacher competence. The type of this data is primary and secondary. The result of this research shows that in general teacher competence of SMA/MA in Cimahi City are in high category with woman teacher who have the aged 56 – 60 years old. The background of their study was S1 and had worked for 28 -35 years with the status of civil servant also certified in economics. So that the conclusion over all teacher of SMA/MA in Cimahi City have am adequate competence.
