Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar kelas IV SKG7 Bandung. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika karena pembelajaran berpusat pada guru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Tindakan dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan test. Data kualitatif dianalisis melalui langkah sebagai berikut: reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dengan statistik yaitu mean dan hasil test. Berdasarkan data tersebut disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan RME dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV SDN SKG7 Bandung pada materi bangun datar dari siklus I dan II dengan rata-ratanya yaitu: 49;82 sedangkan untuk keberhasilan presentase kelulusannya yaitu: 60% untuk siklus I dan 88% untuk siklus II.;---This study aims to describe the application of the approach Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) to improve learning outcomes fourth grade elementary school students SKG7 Bandung. Research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in the subjects of mathematics because of teacher-centered learning. The research method used in this research is Research Class Action Kemmis Model and Mc Taggart. The action is done in two cycles. Data were collected through observation and test. Qualitative data is analyzed through the following steps: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Quantitative data is obtained by statistic that is mean and test result. Based on this data concluded that the application of the approach RME can improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students of SDN SKG7 Bandung on the material flat wake cycle I and II with averages are: 49; 82 while for the success percentage of graduation are: 60% for the first cycle and 88 % For cycle II.
