Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh Pendidikan Multikultural terhadap pengembangan civic virtue siswa di Sekolah Indonesia Singapura. Pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasi regresi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 78 peserta didik SMP dan siswa SMA. Hasil penelitian: (1) siswa Sekolah Indonesia Singapura memiliki persepsi yang positif tentang Pendidikan Multikultural; (2) Secara kumulatif responden yang memberikan gambaran civic virtue termasuk pada kategori tinggi karena prosentase responden berada pada interval 78-89; (3) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara Pendidikan Multikultural terhadap civic virtue siswa; dan (4) Pendidikan Multikultural berpengaruh terhadap pengembangan civic virtue siswa. Dengan demikian, perlu adanya komitmen dan konsistensi dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi Pendidikan Multikultural. ---------- This study aims to examine the influence of Multicultural Education on the students’s civic virtue development at The Indonesian School in Singapore. Quantitative research approach with regression correlation analysis. The sample in this research is 78 junior high school students and high school students. Result of research: (1) students of Singapore School of Singapore have positive perception about Multicultural Education; (2) The cumulative respondents who gave the civic virtue were included in the high category because the percentage of respondents was at interval 78-89; (3) there is a significant positive correlation between Multicultural Education for students’ civic virtue; And (4) Multicultural Education affect the development of students’ civic virtue. Thus, there is a need for commitment and consistency in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Multicultural Education.
