Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan manajemen kurikulum guru PAUD antara guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan relevan dengan PAUD dan yang berlatar belakang pendidikan tidak relevan dengan PAUD. Oleh karena itu metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian ex post facto. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah guru PAUD di Kecamatan Cikole Kota Sukabumi dengan jumlah sampel 103 guru, sampel dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yang ditentukan, terdiri dari 52 guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan S1 relevan dengan PAUD dan 51 guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan S1 tidak relevan dengan PAUD. Instrumen pengumpulan data mengacu pada Rusman (2012) serta dikembangkan dan disesuaikan oleh peneliti. Analisis statistik untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan manajemen kurikulum menggunakan uji statistik Independent Sample T-test. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu 1) Profil kemampuan manajemen kurikulum guru PAUD yang berlatar belakang pendidikan relevan dengan PAUD berada pada kategori sangat tinggi 96,15%. 2) Profil kemampuan manajemen kurikulum guru PAUD yang berlatar belakang pendidikan tidak relevan dengan PAUD berada pada kategori sangat tinggi 82,35%. 3) Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p= 0,000 < 0,05) antara guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan relevan dan tidak relevan dengan PAUD. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang pendidikan menjadi salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi kemampuan manajemen kurikulum guru PAUD. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, maka peneliti merekomendasikan agar guru PAUD dapat memenuhi latar belakang pendidikan sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku guna meningkatkan kemampuan manajemen kurikulum.----------- This research aims to know the difference of curriculum management capability between the early childhood education teacher with relevant educational background and the early childhood education teacher that having an irrelevant educational background. The methodology that is used in this research was ex-post facto. The population in this research was the early childhood education teachers at Kecamatan Cikole Kota Sukabumi with the amount of sample by 103 teachers. The sample was chosen according to the determined criteria, resulting 52 early childhood education teachers with relevant education background holding a bachelor degree in early childhood education and 51 teachers with an irrelevant education background and not holding a bachelor degree for early childhood education. This research instrument referred to Rusman (2012) with slight improvement and adjusted by the researcher. Statistical analysis to examine the difference of curriculum management capability was using Independent Sample T-test. The results of this research were 1) Curriculum management capability profile from the teachers with relevant educational background was at very high category with 96,15%. 2) Curriculum management capability profile from the teachers with irrelevant educational background was at very high category with 82,35%. 3) There is a significant difference (p= 0,000 < 0,05) between both category teacher. This was also suggested that the educational background becoming one of the factors that affect curriculum management capability of a early childhood education teacher. Based on the result of this study, the researcher suggest that early childhood teacher should fulfill the educational background as a prerequisite standard in order to enchance the teacher capability of curriculum management.
