Abstract

Guru profesional dituntut memiliki keterampilan mengajar, Masalah yang dihadapi guru baik pemula maupun yang berpengalaman adalah pengelolaan kelas yang memerlukan keterampilan dari guru tersebut. Pengelolaan kelas merupakan salah satu keterampilan mengajar yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keterampilan mengajar guru praktikan Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga di SMK Pariwisata, meliputi keterampilan bertanya, memberi penguatan, mengadakan variasi, menjelaskan, membuka dan menutup pelajaran, membimbing diskusi kelompok kecil, mengelola kelas, dan mengajar kelompok kecil dan perorangan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru SMK Pariwisata yang menjadi tempat praktik mahasiswa yaitu sebanyak 40 guru. Sampel ditentukan menggunakan purposive sampling yang dilakukan pada 14 guru pamong dari di 5 SMK Pariwisata. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulan data adalah angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar sudah melakukan keterampilan mengajar. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada guru pamong untuk lebih meningkatkan bimbingan kepada guru praktikan agar dapat lebih meningkatkan kemampuan guru praktikan.----------A professional teachers demand to have an ability a teaching skills, the problems that both new teacher or experienced is class management which is requires the skills of teacher. Class management is one of the teaching skills a teacher must possess. The purpose of this research is to find out the teacher’s teaching skill courses of culinary education in Tourism Vocational High School, including questioning skills, giving reinforcement, arrange variations, explaining, opening and closing a lesson, guide small group discussion, manage classes, and teaching small group and individuals. This research method is using descriptive method. The population in this research is Tourism Vocational High School teacher which became become the place of student practice as much as 40 teachers, sample determinted using purposive sampling conducted on 14 teacher from 5 Tourism Vocational High School. Instruments used in data collection are questionnaires. The results showing that most of them have been doing teaching skills. The recommendations are directed to the teachers to improve the guidance to the teachers of the practical in order to improve the ability of the practical teachers.
