Abstract

Pendidikan menuntun manusia menjadi insan kamil. Konsep insan kamil ini meniscayakan peran akal, hati dan jasmani, yang ketiganya merupakan ciri dari manusia paripurna. Di dalam dunia pendidikan modern, dikotomi ilmu (pemisahan antara ilmu pengetahuan umum dengan ilmu agama) sangat jelas terlihat. Hal ini berdampak pada kurang terjalinnya keseimbangan serta perpaduan aspek kemanusiaan, sehingga akhirnya manusia mengalami berbagai macam masalah, baik kemerosotan akhlak maupun radikalisme agama. Al-Qur`an mengajarkan manusia untuk mencapai kebahagiaan di akhirat dengan tidak melupakan pemenuhan kebutuhan di dunia. Sepanjang tidak menjauhi nilai-nilai agama, pendidikan Islam tidak mengenal pemisahan antara sains dan agama, karena pada dasarnya sains dan agama tetap bersumber dari Allah. Sarekat Islam memandang bahwa pendidikan pada konteks kolonialisme Belanda merupakan pendidikan yang menitikberatkan materi ajarnya kepada ilmu pengetahuan umum semata. Padahal menurut Sarekat Islam, agama Islam mengajarkan baik ilmu pengetahuan umum maupun ilmu agama secara bersamaan (tidak dapat dipisahkan). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui konsep pendidikan menurut Sarekat Islam khususnya yang berkenaan dengan dasar, tujuan, prinsip, urgensi dan jenjang atau sistem pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-analisis. Sedangkan untuk mencari jejak sejarah Sarekat Islam, metode penelusuran sejarah digunakan guna menemukan maksud dari konsep pendidikan Sarekat Islam dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur dan library research. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh gambaran bahwa pendidikan menurut Sarekat Islam adalah pendidikan yang berdasarkan Islam dengan tujuan membentuk muslim sejati sekaligus berjiwa nasionalis serta mengedepankan prinsip keseimbangan dan keterpaduan antara keilmuan dunia dan keilmuan akhirat.----------- Education leads people to reach their level as human beings. That is, maximizing the role of mind, heart and body are the characteristics of the plenary man. In the world of modern education, the dichotomization of science is clearly visible, the separation between general science and theology becomes no longer a rare process. It affects the lack of intertwining balance and the combination of humanitarian aspects, so that in reality human experience various kinds of problems both the decline of morals and religious radicalism. The Qur'an teaches people to achieve happiness in the afterlife by not forgetting the fulfillment of the needs of the world. As long as it does not stay away from religious values, Islamic education does not recognize the separation between science and religion, because basically science and religion still come from God. Sarekat Islam views that education in the context of Dutch colonialism is a religious penetration effort that emphasizes the teaching materials to general science alone. Whereas according to Sarekat Islam, Islam teaches both general and religious knowledge are two parts of educational objects that cannot be separated. This study aims to find out the concept of education according to Sarekat Islam, especially with respect to basic, objective, principle, urgency and level or education system. This research is conducted by qualitative approach, while the method used is descriptive-analysis. As for searching the history of Sarekat Islam, historical tracing method is used to find the purpose of the Sarekat Islam education concept with data collection techniques in the form of literature study and library research. Based on the results of this study, obtained the conception that education according to Sarekat Islam is an education based on Islam with the aim of forming a true Muslim as well as nationalist spirit and put forward the principle of balance and integrity between the world's scholarship with the scholarship of the afterlife.
