Abstract

Dalam praktik di lapangan, Fakultas Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia menerapkan pembelajaran Praktik Kerja atau biasa disebut PK. Salah satunya ialah dengan tujuan mengembangkan penalaran tentang hubungan secara komperehensif antara pengetahuan bidang studi yang diperoleh dengan penerapan aktual di lapangan serta sebagai wahana aplikasi keterampilan terpadu dengan menerapkan, mengamati bahkan meneliti kesesuaian teori dan aktual sebagai bekal untuk meningkatkan kualitas individu sehingga akan menumbuhkan kemampuan berpikir, kemampuan hubungan, dan kemampuan keterampilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) bagaimana gambaran umum Praktik Kerja Lulusan Program Studi Arsitektur FPTK UPI; (2) bagaimana gambaran umum kesiapan Lulusan Program Studi Arsitektur dalam menghadapi dunia kerja; (3) seberapa besar kegiatan Praktik Kerja memberikan kontribusi terhadap kesiapan Lulusan Program Studi Arsitektur untuk menghadapu dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian deskriptif. Responden dari penelitian ini adalah Lulusan Program Studi Arsitektur angkatan tahun 2011 dan 2012 FPTK UPI yang berjumlah 30 orang dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan, penyebaran angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa Praktik Kerja memberikan pengaruh sebesar 68% terhadap Kesiapan Kerja. Adapun rinciannya, Praktik Kerja berada pada kategori cukup baik dengan 47%, kesiapan kerja berada pada kategori cukup baik dengan 33%.----------In practice in the field, Faculty of Education of Technology and Vocational, Indonesia University Of Education apply Work Practice learning or commonly called PI. One of them is with the aim of developing reasoning about the comprehensive relationship between the field of study knowledge obtained with actual application in the field as well as a vehicle for integrated skill application by applying, observing and even examining the actual and theoretical fit as a provision to improve the quality of the individual so that it will cultivate the ability to think, ability relationships, and skills. This study aims to find out (1) to get to know description about industry practice on graduates students of architecture FPTK UPI; (2) to get to know a description about the readiness of graduates of architecture engineering students in facing to get a job; (3) how much work practice activity contributes to the readiness of engineering graduate students to face to get a job. This research uses quantitative approach with descriptive research method. Respondents from this research are graduates of architecture engineering students class of 2011 and 2012 FPTK UPI, amounting to 30 people with data collection techniques using, questionnaire distribution. Based on the results of research that has been done can be seen that Work Practice gives effect of 68% against Readiness Work. As for the details, industry practice is in fairly good category with 47%, job readiness is in fairly good category with 33%.
