Abstract
Koleksi muatan lokal memiliki nilai informasi yang dibutuhkan pemustaka untuk mengetahui dan memahami budaya daerahnya, sehingga mewujudkan fungsi pelestarian budaya lokal (kultural). Meskidemikian, hasilstudipendahuluanmenunjukkanbahwakoleksi muatan lokal belum sepenuhnya didayagunakan dengan baik kepada pemustaka.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana ketersediaan koleksi muatan lokal pada Ruang Literatur tentang Jawa Barat di Dispusipda Jabar dalam memenuhi fungsi kultural perpustakaan, yang dilihat dari faktor relevansi koleksi muatan lokal, orientasi kebutuhan koleksi muatan lokal pada pengguna, kelengkapan koleksi muatan lokal dan kemutakhiran koleksi muatan lokal. Pendekatan yang digunakan ialah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Partisipan dalam penelitian terdiri dari key informan, informan internal dan informan eksternal yang ditentukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, data display dan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketersediaan koleksi muatan lokal telah memenuhi fungsi kultural perpustakaan. Meski demikian nilai informasi koleksi muatan lokal belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pemustaka terutama dalam hal relevansi koleksi muatan lokal, orientasi kebutuhan koleksi muatan lokal pada pengguna dan kelengkapan koleksi muatan lokal. Pustakawan, kepala perpustakaan dan pemerintah diharapkan dapat bekerjasama dalam meningkatkan partisipasinya untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai kedaerahan Jawa Barat melalui ketersediaan koleksi muatan lokal dan aktivitas/program apresiasi budaya. Kata kunci: Perpustakaan Umum, Fungsi Kultural, PengetahuanLokal, Koleksi Muatan Lokal, The collection of local content has value information required users to know and understand the culture of their territory, so indicated to realize the function of preserving the local culture (cultural). However, the preliminary results of the study show that the collection of local content has not been fully harnessed properly to users. This research aims to describe how the availability of collection of local content on Ruang Literatur tentang Jawa Barat di Dispusipda Jabar in meeting the cultural function of the library, which is views of the relevance of the collection of local content, orientation needs a collection of local content on the user, completeness of the collection of local content and recency of collection of local content. The approach used is qualitative with descriptive method. Participants in the study consisted of key informant, internal informant and external informant who specified through purposive sampling technique. The process of data collection was done through interviews, observation and study of documentation. Data analysis techniques used are reduction data, display data, and conclusion/verification. The results showed that the availability of a collection of local content has met the cultural function of the library. However the value of the information collection of local content is not yet fully meet the needs of information users especially relevance of the collection of local content, orientation needs a collection of local content on the user and completeness of the collection of local. The Librarian, head of the library and the Government are expected to cooperate in improving participation in conserving the values of West Java regional councils through the availability of a collection of local content and activities/programs cultural appreciation.
